QUESTION: how old is Del?

Exactly how old do you suppose Del is? My take on this is that he must be at least 100
Quote:
From the History of Aglaura:
By the 1920s all traces of settlement other than a few crumbling chimneys had faded away and the name and community of Ong's Hat faded away into local legend. The only remaining resident was Del Doyle, struggling to make his small cranberry business stay afloat in the bogs at the edge of the Lake of Tears.

i'd agree. 92 at the youngest.

Let's assume the latest possible year ('29) and also assume the youngest that he'd likely be then (18 ). That gives him a b-day of 1911 or 92 years old.

Though I'd asume that he'd be older than that, just because the numbers there were the minimums.

is it possible that "Del Doyle's Cranberries" is a family business name and that Del is no longer around?
