This just in from Mr. Wadsworth.

1:25 PM
Butler: Good day Miss Belle.
1:26 PM
me: Good day Mr. Wadsworth

How are you today?

Butler: You have been such a good messenger, might you be one again for my employer?

I am tired from traveling actually. How are you?
1:27 PM
me: I would be happy to relay something for Mr. Boddy.

I'm sorry. I hope you get some rest soon. I'm doing well. Thanks
1:28 PM
Butler: This morning I was instructed to board the jet. I was not told where I was going, but only that I was to check on the item that has been left.

Mr. Boddy was concerned that it may have been tampered with or even taken.

me: I see.

Butler: It would do no good to have someone go to retrieve something that is not in fact there, would it.
1:29 PM
me: No that would be most unfortunate.

Butler: The item is, in fact, where it should be.

me: Oh good.

Do you have any more information about where the guest should find it?

Butler: Yes, Mr. Boddy was most pleased. I must say, I do not know why he picked this place. Why anyone lives there is beyond me. Yet, there were many people out and about.
1:30 PM
Fishing, getting ice cream, walking their dogs. There is even to be a lobster dinner of some sort there in the near future.

I do enjoy a nice lobster dinner, when the cooks have made too many.

In any case...

me: Don't we all.
1:31 PM
Butler: I was not aware, until today, that there is indeed a park in my memorial.

me: Really?

Butler: I do not know what I have done to please these people, to have named so many things in my honour, but it seems to be so.

In this park there is a place to sit down, and behave much like a pendulum.

me: Well perhaps the guest who lives near there will know.
1:32 PM
I see.

Butler: Near this place are three sets of shrubbery.

A sandbox.

As well as a place to take cover and make hot dogs.
1:33 PM
Of these shrub areas, one is closest to the black rubber seats.

me: Tire seats?

Butler: I wondered, as I rested in the breeze, if they had been fabricated nearby.

It is the capital as it were.

They do not appear as tires, no.
1:34 PM
me: I see. Swings perhaps then.

Butler: It might be.

A tree has fallen in one of the three.

A good cover has been created by nature.

Here lies a box, wrapped in white.
1:35 PM
It is what he searches for.

I did not disturb it, or gander inside, as it is none of my business what it contains.

me: Of course.

Butler: I believe this will get you all on your way.

Good luck.

me: I will pass this information along promptly
1:36 PM
Thank you again Mr. Wadsworth.

Butler: You are most welcome. Thank you for taking the message.

me: I hope you have some time to rest after your long day of travels.

My pleasure.

Butler: Yes, I must now go see to dinner arrangements and then time for rest.

Good day, Miss Belle.

me: Good day, Mr. Wadsworth.

Seems it could be you Tabby. I'm going to start searching google maps.

Another chat with Wadsworth.
I think I may have pissed him off a little...hahaha.

Quote:
me: Good afternoon, Mr. Wadsworth.
May I ask you a question?

mybutlerwadsworth: Good day. Of you course you may. Please proceed.

me: When are we to receive our 'roles' for the gala? B
*Before arriving, or upon arriving?

mybutlerwadsworth: Ahhh, that is a good question. By this evening, at least the first 'role' will be distributed. I am hoping for more, but my Employer does not understand the importance of speediness.
However, all of the background information shall be handed out by Wednesday evening.

me: Thank you.

mybutlerwadsworth: There is also the matter of the item that is to be picked up, but I am not sure where the guests stand on that as of this moment.

me: Another question-- and I apologize if this has already been answered--
but who is your employer?
Oh yes, about the item-- one of my friends should be dealingwith that.
Don't worry about it.

mybutlerwadsworth: My employer is one Mr. Boddy. It is a good questions as well, you never can be too sure.
me: I'm sorry- what I meant was, who is Mr. Boddy?

mybutlerwadsworth: Question in the singular sense, my keyboard is not of the best quality.

me: Specifically, what does he do?

mybutlerwadsworth: What does my employer do? Well, for one thing he employs me. Beyond that I am sure if he wishes his business to be known he shall inform youhimself.
I am not at liberty to discus such personal matters.

me: Of course. I understand.
If there are any more items you wish to be 'picked up', please let us know, and we will do our best to get them for you.

mybutlerwadsworth: As far as I am aware this is the only one, however Mr. Boddy does enjoy a good surprise. If I become made aware of any other items I will be sure to let the guests know of such an existence.

me: Then I shall be off to my job then.
'Good day' to you, Mr. Wadsworth.
mybutlerwadsworth: Good day Miss Alice.

6:50 PM
Butler: Good evening, Miss Belle.
6:51 PM
me: Good evening Mr. Wadsworth

Butler: Any word on the item retrieval?
6:52 PM
me: Yes apparently the guest who is supposed to retrieve it found it too dark to get tonight by the time he got the message.

Butler: Ah yes, darkness would make finding it a bit difficult.
6:53 PM
This means you have found the location however, which is a very good thing.

me: yes he had some trouble locating the spot however

He spent an hour looking in Memorial Park.
6:54 PM
Butler: If my memory serves me correctly there is a [ond with a fountain.

me: He plans to return tomorrow when it is light out

Butler: I could see it from where the driver waited for me as well as from where the box is located.

Oh, please make that a pond and excuse my typing.

me: Ah ok... I will pass this information along as well.
6:55 PM
No worries Mr. Wadsworth

Butler: Never, Miss Belle.

me: Is there anything else you would like me to relay?
6:56 PM
Butler: No, but if the finder, who calls himself Jeb, has any questions he can feel free to address them to me.

Also

me: I will let Jeb know.

Yes?

Butler: Please be wary of him, as he strikes me as a bit mentally unstable maybe.
6:57 PM
me: Yes... I believe he is a bit off... but I'll reserve judgement until I meet him in person.

Butler: And I as well.

Good evening Miss Belle.

me: Good evening Mr. Wadsworth and thank you.

Ok Tabbster/Jeb its near a fountain and you can contact him with questions if you need more clarification. I am speaking to Jeb and not your other half, right?

More on the meta side - for some reason I'm really looking forward to seeing what happens on May 11. Maybe because it's got the promise of being a short-term diversion and I know that I won't have to make the investment of several weeks to get involved? Maybe because the universe is already fairly clearly defined, between the board game and the movie? Maybe because the contact has been unobtrusive, initially somewhat intriguing, and with a care for appearance? And all this for a game which so far has no web sites, even. Interesting phenomenon, at least in my own psyche.

The further the ARG world progresses, the more I wish there were rewarding casual play opportunities. I will be very impressed if this scratches that itch.

And Lee Ving was overlooked for the Oscar for his roll as Mr. Boddy! A Travesty!!! Laughing

I do know what you mean by having a diversion for the "casual" gamer. It would be nice to be able to invest a few hours and enjoy the game rather than a few weeks and still feel like you're lost!
