About the double/triple/quadruple posting - it's considered bad form on most forums. So is posting solely for the purpose of bumping the thread. If you have something to add to your post and nobody has yet replied in the thread, just edit your post. If you feel the need to highlight what's been added (or in case someone posts while you are editing) mark your edits with "Edit or "ETA" (Edit To Add).

If you accidentally duplicate post and nobody has replied in the thread yet, you can delete your dupe post yourself. (Note, if you make a new thread that you quickly find is a trout you can also delete it before it's replied to.) If someone has already posted, just send a PM to me or another mod and we'll clean it up for you. No need to edit the dupe, we mods are just smart enough to figure out which ones are the same (it's part of the mod test - ya know, like those neat picture games when you were a kid).

The only time it's really considered OK to double post is when a thread has sunk beyond easy notice (basically the first page), and you are adding new relevant information to the thread. Don't do this repeatedly, because if there still isn't response that means your thread is not of interest or not apparently relevant to the topic at hand. The one time when a bump for it's own sake is acceptable is when it's referenced in a trout - it gets the old thread back into view.

As for "Mr. Phantom in 15" being our other username, I tried several variations of Lt. Col. Graff combined with Cloverfield as the password with no success (before it was figured out). I didn't try the case number or other such info.
