Each one is different, but yeah, in general it's usually about solving ciphers, puzzles. I've noticed a trend lately to just be interactive story telling..... and a LOT are dieing before getting to the end. I am not sure alot of the Puppetmasters realize what it takes to run the show. I think everyone that has followed an ARG thought at some point that it would be fun to make an ARG.... and I am sure it is, but I think it has to be well thought out, and well executed to keep people interested. This seems to be moving quick enough to keep everyone's attention.....there will always be things about an ARG that some don't like. You can't please everyone all of the time.

HTH is definitely not the best example, I was fortunate enough to be brought into the world of ARG's by a fantastic little game called Looking Glass Labs, which had an unbelievable pace (sometimes i would feel that if i left my computer for a couple of hours that I would miss like 30 pages on the forum) and an crazy level of player/character interaction...

Unfortunately, being my first game, it has set a high benchmark for the other s to measured with...

Don't get discouraged by this game, each ARG has its own unique style, you'll find one you like soon enough

This is sooo sad. We were all so willing to work together, lose sleep, miss family, and now look at where this is at. This type of thing should be exilerating and a little creepy maybe, not full of strife. Sad

So much for my second experience...I'm having no luck with this and it really bums me out. First Rivard, now this bahhh.

I'm going to try o have something because the game is not only as good as it's GM but as its players.

This being said I really hate he way DOC is running this as well. We all aren't in college. I have a family that I would have to tote around while I try to solicit one or more strangers to take a picture? Not really safe for me sorry...so how do I help win this challenge?
