ARG codes

I don't know if this is the place to put this, but can anyone tell me the different types of codes used by puppetmasters, and how I can decode them. I'm trying to learn more about playing. thanks alot.

I'm guessing you're just looking for a primer in cryptography so you can understand the 'basic' types of puzzles that show up over and over again. If so, there are a couple of things I can recommend.

Unfiction Tutorial: http://www.unfiction.com/dev/tutorial/
Black Chamber: http://www.simonsingh.net/The_Black_Chamber/home.html
Puzzletome Back to Basis Module - http://www.puzzletome.com/ (registration required)

I do highly suggest the Puzzletome module. It gives you both practice puzzles and a puzzle trail consisting of everything you've learned. Plus, then you get to take what you've learned and apply it to other puzzles on the website (the Paul Trigger trails are especially fun)

Although I suck at puzzles, this website offers a small explanation about a lot of the codes I've seen used.
