There is a warning, if you create a new topic without a title. If people manage to get through that, a confirmation would probably go unnoticed, too.

Yeah, the couple of times I have hit the "New Topic" button it warned me about not having a title. Then I went, "Oops" and went back and made it a post instead. Glad it's there!
