I just figured she was abducted by Tagruato or TIDO or the CIA or the Cult of Mister Grumpy Pantz, or got really drunk and forgot all about it after smashing holes in the wall with her fist then being sent to the hospital for detox...oh wait, that was me. I still wonder what pissed me off so much, and how I managed to unlock my own door to get out into the street...

But yeah, she's either dead or abducted.

Does anyone else find it interesting that Alyse has yet to mention anything about the monster's attack? After seeing the sub images, she completely dismissed that Clover even exists. In 2008, a celebrity can't walk out the front door in their underwear to take out the trash without winding up on Youtube. Wouldn't the news footage of Clover destroying Manhattan in 2009 be over a couple million hits by now?

The inconsistencies of the timeline are really confusing me.

Please forgive me and trout me for my ignorance, but I don't see anywhere in the movie that shows that every thing is in 2009. I don't see why everything could not be happening in 08 and the monster attack wont even happen for another few weeks.

I am just wondering how every one got 2009 as the year.

The association of the dates with 2009 is because it's the next time the dates used fall upon the days they are referred to being on in the film.

I have been a bit confused as to why Alyse seems unaware of the attacks on NYC. We know from Hud's footage in the electronics store that major news outlets broadcast footage of the attack. Considering the fact that the she's also making reference to the USGX site (which exists solely as documentation of the NYC attack) she's got to be living in a post-attack timeframe.

Her reference to "Photoshopping" may only be in relationship to the transcript document. She may refuse to believe that it's real or associated with the other images.
