Dorkmaster, it also looks like it is an exact match for a reverse-address-lookup of the Sears Tower, too. I went to Topozone.com, plugged in "Sears Tower", and it spit back a rounded-off version* of the coordinates from in-game. So there you go.

actualyl if you zoom in on yahoo it's the corner of allstate rd

according to google searches it appears to be a shopping area

I have a friend who lives near there who is checking it out after work for me. It appears to be the entrance to the South Bay Shopping Center, which is detailed at:

This is in Atlanta and is at the intersection of Peachtree St. and West Peachtree St. I'm going to check out which buildings/companies are there (office buildings are along the road).

Colorado Coordinate

The location 39.9856-105.2499 is down the street from where I work. It is out in the middle of nowhere near the highway. I will go see what is out there.

Colorado Coordinate

I just got back from the coordinate 39.9657-105.1845. There is absolutely nothing out there. There is a gate leading to open space. I have no idea what that means.

45.7836, -108.5054: Intersection of 27th St and 2nd Ave N. It's the Wells Fargo building. Proper address is:

175 N 27th St
Billings, MT 59101

I went by at lunch and saw nothing out of the ordinary. Of course, I didn't expect to find anything, either. August 24 may be a different story...

Well, I don't have a sepcific GPS type device to go exactly to these coordinates, but I live right near the road...

Latitude: 38.8425
Longitude: -77.2803:

It's in Fairfax VA, right after a shopping center... I can take a look at that area (I can get a good guess of where it's pointing based on distance to the surrounding roads, according to Mapquest) later today and post more on it tonight.

Here are the landmarks/specific things that correspond to the NYC coordinates (except for one, noted below)

40.7520 -73.9819
39th and 5th Ave - NYC Main Public Library

40.7298 -73.9952
The Village - NYU Main Campus

40.7699 -73.9847
59th And Columbus Circle - Lincoln Center/Fordham University

40.7630 -73.9565
65th Ave and York Street - Rockefeller University.

40.7583 -73.9905
43rd and 8th Ave - Times Square

This one: 40.7318 -73.9836, is on 14th street, between 1st and 2nd ave. Topozone doesn't give any specific landmarks for this spot -- anyone know what's there?

This maybe trout, but is it possible that if you change the -'s to +'s that it points to certain locations in China, and the locations correspond to the coordinates in the US somehow?

It's been talked about, but these coords are so EXACT, landing right on a street or intersection, that it seems unlikely to be anything other than just what they are.

I agree. If these weren't meant to be used as locations and were just chosen based on their numerical value, I would think we'd get alot more out in the country or at least in some fields or state parks or something.
