Here is the results of my search:

Quote:
As you get up, dust kicks up around your feet...either no one has been here for a long time, or the house keeping needs to be improved.

The night stand proves fruitless, but as you open the top left drawer of the dresser, you find a single, abandoned coin.

Did anyone else find a coin?

Am I understanding this correctly: this is Infocom-style interactive fiction... through email?!?

veebee, I do think we should collaborate. Are you in the laundry room?

Fishjp, I just found three circular impressions. I think it might fit. Now we need to get you out of the room so we can see.

Nighthawk, it seems that way. I have to say, I'm having fun.

EDIT: If I'm right about the coin fitting in the laundry room, two more need to be found...

I think we are being told we have to collaborate, I just got this

Quote:
You run into Nuala as she is exiting the laundry.

Wher do you want to go next?

Ah... so it's multiplayer interactive fiction...?

It's quite a daring concept. After all, in order to do it right, the PMs basically have to maintain the state of every player individually, and also (arguably) provide the exact same responses to the players that do the same thing. Sounds like a monumental task.

I'm not in because I simply won't be able to follow this one. Too much on my mind as of late.

As this is an older establishment, you are dismayed to find that bathrooms are not included in the private rooms.

You do, however, hear someone pull something metallic in the room neighboring yours, and then hear your door click.

The hell? Who's room 472/470?

I'm going outside, Obnoxiously.

I'm pretty sure that's because I said "Look for veebee..." Smile I haven't figured out whether there is anything else in the laundry room. After that, I'm not sure.

Quote:
You hear the floorboards creak as someone steps into the hallway and shouts, "Lucy, You've got some 'splaining to do!"

Lord Illidan? I'm guessing that's you!

I am basically amazed. Whoever this person is, as a PM they deserve some serious Kudos. They are personally responding to our e-mail replies, sometimes with what lookks like a standard response, sometime with a more personal response, Awesome in my opinion!

@Nuala, we need a candle, think Lordy lordy (!sorry!) has one.

Quote:
Nuala quietly asks, "Do you have a candle? For the laundry is dark without one."

shall we all go back to the laudry with the candle LordIllidan has?

OK, I'm gonna say we're all there with the candle. I thinkk others will find coins. Search people, search!

Did anyone get a paint brush and palette? 'Cause that's what I found in my dresser, and I have no clue what to do with them... anyone have an idea?

Yeah, I have a candle. I haven't gotten your message yet, though.

And please, call me Illy Razz

Just got this:

Quote:
You notice the coin has the figure of a lady on it.

The closet is bare, sans three valve wheels on the far wall.

Followed by this:

Quote:
You hear the floorboards creak as someone steps into the hallway and shouts, "Lucy, You've got some 'splaining to do!"

I think I am going to turn the valves unless anyone has objections.

I have a candle. That's how I was able to see the three circular impressions behind the bins. Maybe you need one, too?

Fishjp, I think you should turn the valves. It might release someone.

Down the hall, you hear someone pound on their door and yell
"RICKY!!!!"

Whoever that is, you're awesome.

I'm off to investigate, if nobody has any objection.
