Anyway, none of the locations are anywhere remotely close to me (yeah, I'm in Texas. For the recrod of anyone on the 'it's plotting us' theory, I didn't e-mail the entity until last week), so I can't look into any of them closer. But I'm with a lot of you other guys in thinking that they may have meaning in some other way.

Anyway, like always, we've gotten a little out of my ballpark in terms of intellect Smile So I don't know how much help I can be with this puzzle.

 		I apologize if this has been posted already, new to the board and ARG's in general.

The following quote is found on the same page as the coordinates. Wouldn't it stand to reason that it is relevant to the coordinates in some way.

Maybe it can help with identification of what the coordinates mean:

So from that, shouldn't we be looking for things that would help her escape from her current "shell" at these coordinates?

It just seems to me that this may make the "looking for Dana" theory a red herring, unless there is some way for the AI to embody Dana.

From another link, the AI appears to be trying to immitate a human voice: http://www.ilovebees.com/changeling-child.wav.

Maybe this explains the Smithsonian and Sears tower. The AI is trying to somehow become human/American?

Did anyone else read this?? It is correct, change the logitude to a possitive number and the locations are all in China. This makes more sense, supporting the theory that the operator is tracking Dana.

 		I was just thinking, going out on a HUGE leap of faith here, maybe these coordinates are some kind of Network Map, such as an Xbox Live Network Map. Like they could be hops your connection goes through, which is why they are so random and highly populated in the most populated areas of the country.

That's true, but that could also just be an effect of the fact that China is located on the opposite side of the world from america, couldn't it? I mean, if you change all the latitudes, wouldn't it just place all the points somewhere in South America, or something?

 		I haven't gone out to visit the points yet, but Timx's reply that the point 40.7520 -739819 was the NYC Public Library seems to verify what I was about to say. Thanks to the awesome information that's provided by Topozone.com's map service, here's some interesting locations that are at/very close to the given points:

40.7520 -73.9819
39th and 5th Ave - NYC Main Public Library

40.7298 -73.9952
The Village - NYU Main Campus

40.7699 -73.9847
59th And Columbus Circle - Lincoln Center/Fordham University

40.7630 -73.9565
65th Ave and York Street - Rockefeller University.

40.7583 -73.9905
43rd and 8th Ave - Times Square

These all appear to be near educational/cultural landmarks. The only one I don't see any landmarks for is 40.7318 -73.9836, which is on 14th street between 1st and 2nd ave. Any Spec on why?

Not likely. I have investigated two locations in Palo Alto California and neither
are even remotely close to any Internet Routing hub. PAIX (the main exchange here
in Palo Alto) is miles away from the coordinates.

I can't find ANYTHING near these points of consequence. They all seem to be in random areas. Some are right on top of chinese restaraunts. Others are no where near any restaraunts at all.

 		Is there a library in times square? Cuz maybe this is growing through libraries? There seems to be a pattern with that. (although, I still can't fit the Sears Tower with that... krystyn?)

or it could be because china is on the exact opposite side of america. guess you can't exclude anything as of yet.

unfortuately for me , theres only 2 spots in massachusetts, neither close enough for me to go to easily.

This is what I was alluding to in my first post. Could the AI be trying to become culturally assimilated for when she finally goes "physical"?
