I'm stuck on the metronome one. I've matched it to the symbols on the side (fractals, kinda look like triforces), but it's not doing anything. I've played with all sorts of gem/metal end configurations, but no results yet. Is there something we have to do to enter the answer? Help please.

Try this:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The outer and inner-most "triangles" have the metal "pointer" sticking straight up, and the middle triangle have it pointing straight down.

The moving of pieces on the two discs is like Rubik's Cube. I always end up with one piece out of place.

OK, ALL dark gray pieces on one side, all light gray on the other, and all red pieces in the middle.
ETA - and once again it's stuck moving to the next chapter... Evil or Very Mad

There should be more after, it's just the second time I've had it stall when I solved a puzzle. I have to go back to the home screen and I don't get credit for a solve so I have to do it over again.

Same here, I've done it twice. I'm using Mozilla, could that be the problem?

Either third times the charm, or IE fixed it for me. It brings me to a new screen.

Yeah. I got to a screen with a skeleton, a wall carving with some numbers and Pascal written on it, and a book with a fancy spinning lock.
