Ya, I did the poster at a landmark thing today, and I'll do the creative encouragement thing, but I don't have the time or energy to do any deep delving into people's compassion levels.

I can't do the videos either and can't get to a landmark but I will try to do the creative encouragement one.

I don't have the time nor the resources to do anything like this.

So I'm guessing Bex's toast.

Of course, this is the day my laptop screen decides to give me a nice big "fuck you" by going bad on me. I'm using a crappy external monitor that used to belong to an old desktop to type this out and evacuate some of my files before seeing if I can get it fixed. I work at Circuit City and this sucker is still under warranty, so I'm hoping they'll be able to fix it for me in store, or at least send it away to somebody to fix and then get back to me. If not? I'm effectively boned and without a computer for god knows how long, because of my financial situation, which is to say I have no frigging money.

If it gets sent away, takes a while to fix, or cannot be fixed, I will be withdrawing from this game, as I'll have no computer with which to monitor or perform tasks. I hope this isn't the case, but knowing my luck with computers? Yeah, I'm screwed.

Just wanted to let everyone know.

I can do the personal video as well, but it might be tricky interviewing two others for the other option. I'll try though.

Faery, you do great videos. I remember covet - prize winning. Hope you can find someone to help you out. I am not able to work on it this time.

The Clinic Is Open

Doc has posted in The Clinic with a thread that says: Tell me all your thoughts on God 'cause she's on her way to meet him.

I wrote a lengthy, thoughtful personal reply to him and found the thread locked when I tried to post it. Grrrr!

Let's do our best to complete one of the options for the final task. If you've got access to a working computer at all, you can write Bex an encouraging letter, poem, song lyrics or make a poster in a word processor.

Time's not up until tomorrow morning right?
I guess he's just anxious with the lack of conversation going on.
I've got the poster/landmark ready to go and a graphic encouraging poster in the works.

I've got something written up, which is in this case the best I'll be able to do. I'm going to be sending my computer away as soon as I get the box the repair guys want it shipped in, so I may need someone to post it for me. Hopefully not, but if one of you gets a PM from me, that's why.

Thank Palm! However, due to time and not caring as much as I did for Covet I'll just be talking into my webcam for a couple of minutes. Nothing exciting.

On a funny note, when we got out to the pier yesterday to take the picture the ferris wheel was gone! I'd heard they were rebuilding it but I didn't think it would just suddenly be gone! So I guess I'll have to explain to Doc why the landmark itself is missing from the picture. The pier will have to be good enough.

META crankiness:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I'm officially bailing (not that I've been any use thus far). I have too much going on in my life to be able to spend hours on overwrought projects with absurd deadlines. I would rather spend my "game" time on something that is better run and thought through more thoroughly.

Doc Update

The Clinic remains open and Doc posted this:
Quote:
Perhaps we should begin a conversation about politics?

BEX will not die unless you fail at effort. And there is no typo in that sentence.

I do not consider myself God, just one of a number of circumstances He puts in someone's path. This week it has been the path of BEX.

Let me ask you something: if you had the power to contact everyone who has signed up in this place one last time, what would you say to them? Anything?

Do tell...
