I was number 123. This is a great game! I feel all hokey getting excited over a game about snackfood, but this is so fun!

pascal's book

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It has to do with the shape of the triangle. Look at the chart next to the word Pascal. There are a bunch of triangles with numbers in them. Those relate to the position of the triangle on the lock.

final competition to be broadcast on TV?

hey i found this on another site:

http://www.ignorancedenied.com/viewthread.php?tid=6604
"Anyhoo I started out number 227th for solving the first puzzle and am now at 79th for the latest. They are not too hard just yet but I can imagine they will get tougher as it progresses, most of the puzzles so far have been solved by reading the numerous topics ID has here on anagrams, letter/number substitution etc. The grand prize from what I read so far is $100k and will be broadcast on tv, so sign up today and see how far we can get."

is this thing bigger than we thought?

Here's a picture of how you need to position the top of the triangle for each letter. Then push the button where the letter is located for each.
Hope that makes sense.

*Red dot represents what appears to be the top of the triangle

The Quest for Flavor

So I went out and purchased a bag of these Quest-tionable chips. I believe the flavor to really be Mountain Dew.

No, they do not taste like ass.

They have nearly that same lime flavor that the 'Tostitos with a hint of lime' have, although not as strong. The chips look a little on the pale green side due to the flavorful coating.

Yes, those unmistakable flavor crystals will leave your fingers green.

There were only 14 bags at the local mart. All of them were 'The Strip' bags. They were identical (except for the pricing marks) as the ones in the pdf. I'll keep looking to see if I can get a complete set.

Stupid Blaise Pascal. I guess that geeks in his day just weren't square, yet. Here is my progress for the puzzles:

72nd
66th
58th
37th
and stupid 128th.

so I've gone through all the puzzles, and after finishing the Pascal, it opens the notebook, shows that screen shot posted earlier, then fades to black... is that it? I thought someone had mentioned they get to see another countdown or something...

And when I read through the little book log, it gave my rankings for all puzzles, except that Pascal. Any ideas what's going on? Confused

link
to log on

When I submitted the info to open an account, I was told that I would be sent a link to use to log on. I never got it. Checked junk, spam, etc. even went to the att site to see if it got blocked there. Not there. What to do now?

I live in Memphis, and if this is the 'secret' city, and if our vacant pyramid is used for the final competition, and if any plan to come visit, I can provide info on some good places to visit.

You flatter me! Embarassed Actually, I too started looking up Blaise Pascal and seeing how a Pascal triangle could fit the problem. Then I decided that none of the puzzles in this group required any knowledge of math, so it had to be simpler than that.

Looks like you've hit what has plagued many of us. Sometimes when you solve a puzzle, it doesn't really register and you have to go back and do it all over again. That happened to me on three of the five puzzles. On the Pascal puzzle, for example, I think I would have been ranked close to first, but I ended up fifth IIRC. So, go back and do that puzzle again and it should take you past the black screen, on to the pyramid and the countdown.

On this issue of the black screen, the people running this had better get this fixed before placement starts to matter, or they are going to have a battle on their hands.

Thanks Mr. Toasty. Third time apparently is still NOT the charm *grumble* I guess I'll try again a few times tomorrow and see what's up. I still hear the music in the background, so it's not 100% frozen...

Agreed about getting black screen of death fixed - very troublesome.

EDIT: ok, I logged out and logged back in, and it worked that time, w00t! And now, the waiting game, until another 1am countdown!

I just want to state for the record that I submitted two different emails on two separate occasions and neither one was "told". Evil or Very Mad
