They're treading new ground in the online wizardry education recruitment field. I think they can be forgiven if their website's a little sloppy
ETA: Though it does feel as if the website was designed in the mid-90s, complete with mailto: link. No animated flame gifs, though.

Wait, wait, wait... What would Michael Meyers Public Relations have to do with this? They're a real company; they're video game experts and they have a hell of a past client list, I might add. But why be so obvious about who's running the show in the trailhead?
Anyone know of any video games in the near future that this might fit in with?
Anyway, I'm sending a very business oriented letter to MMPR, just for my own curiosity.

I am Amazed they even HAVE a website. Shouldnt this have been handled by trained Owls or something?

Hi David,
Actually, even though gaming is our first love and main specialty, we've done a number of projects in entertainment, sports, etc. So please let us know when you need some help.
Regards,
Michael

OK, so that's sort of a non-answer to everything...

They say great minds think alike. Of course that doesnt explain how this could have happened.

It was, after all, the kind of answer I was expecting. It does confirm to me that they are involved and the origin of it; their name wasn't simply pulled out of a hat because of who they are.

I would love if this was an HP ARG, but I doubt it. It would have to be done officially by the studio/publisher and I think the quality would be much higher. This may be some other people using the HP idea to garner interest. Either way, I'm in!

This definitely has a Harry Potter vibe to it, but my question is this "all is not what it seems" business. I mean, I don't think the various magical academies of the HP world would be advertising in this fashion, unless I missed something pretty big in the movies where they said it was cool to advertise the existence of magic.
Maybe it's going o be Harry Potter-esque, but I doubt it'll be straight up Hogwarts action. Maybe HP with a twist or something.

That's exactly what I was thinking.

It does say "press contact" there. I'm guessing that's what it's for.

Wonder if they'll teach me how to summon the Great Old Ones with blasphemous rituals of madness incarnate. I would totally pay tuition for that!
