[MAIL] From "Theo Live"

A bite, I has one.

Your dreams are very interesting, perhaps you are getting closer to your
parallel self. This is very dangerous. We can tell you many things, but we
must know if we can trust you. An... interview... of sorts is indeed in
order. Look to the past, to learn of your future.

Now that's very strange--here I am suggesting that I may have a parallel self working with TheO, and knowing that is making this me think that might not be a bad idea, and The Olive (sorry, could not resist, it's almost as good as The Oat) still thinks this is "dangerous." Note that he doesn't say dangerous for whom.

There appear to be no Bacon bits hiding in the message, also no links, no images, no attachments.

"look to the past to learn of your future," well, that's a little vague, man why must he do this stuff to me on Friday evening when it is hot and I am braindead oh jeez I'm a tool. Thanks, drizjr Embarassed

Also: why "Theo Live?" Why not "Theo Lives?" That cannot possibly be a typo, but aside from the obvious and stupid anagram, I got nothin' right now.

(ETA: Forwarded to Ariadne, along with new historyofantiquity links and contained Bacon Bits.)

TheO is seeming anti-synchronization on any level: Personal or Multiversal.

I think the Codex said lots of people doing personal synchronizations makes it easier for the multiversal synchronization to take, so I guess it makes sense on that level. Still, personals by themselves don't do anything huge, which leads me to wonder if there's another reason TheO doesn't want any at all going on. Such as, someong finding out that a parallel version of him/herself knows something TheO doesn't want us to know. Very Happy

(also: if nobody has a really good reason why I shouldn't, I will totally be forwarding this to Ariadne after I stuff some dinner into my face.)

Got also an email form Theo Live:

Auz505,

You are very correct, the Six stay blind to the truth, even as they believe that they are seeing more. Instead of this Codex, we seek to find knowledge in earlier history. You have some interesting theories, but we do not yet know who we can trust. We will continue to study older texts to find our own answers. You should too.

I am also very interested in the lost ring. I am following the story of Ariadne and her group since the beginning.

I do not understand why they believe the things written in the Codex and why they follow those instructions "blindly". I think it is important to really understand the concept behind the lost sport and the many worlds.
But I don't blame Ariadne's group. They woke up remembering nothing and just know one side of the story (the one from the codex). Or do you think they know exactly what they are doing and the "amnesia" is part of big conspiracy?

It seems that you know more - even about the danger of the codex' mission. I think it is important to know all facts from all sides.

I hope you can enlighten me, before I start to blindly run a labyrinth.

With the same clue to look in earlier history?

I think they mean older texts than the lost ring codex.

Re: older texts

I believe the references to "older texts" and "earlier history" and "the past" are all intended to point to the History of Antiquity site, which was recently updated.

Make sure if you are in one of the other non-Ariadne forums that you post something about this latest discovery on Markus' blog and the hidden message.. maybe without coming out and just posting the solution. I'm trying to do that on Ariadne's blog, though several people (esp. onejack) just like to post the answer from the wiki.. well duh...

I'm trying to keep it in game, as well as appear like I'm only a good guy trying to look out for the bad guys etc.

We just gotta remember to help continue the game in the official forums too, even if we did develop the communication method here.

While also remembering that characters such as TheO, who won't read these forums, can read the in-game forums...

Wow, I had already given up hope, but finally I also got a reply from Theo. I had told them about some of my doubts concerning Markus and the six in general. This is what I got:

Theo Live wrote:
Bilbo,

Their story is very strange indeed. Stranger still because it is true. The problem is that they who cannot remember, do not know why they are doing what they do. Those who have come before have failed for a reason. They are not meant to succeed. However they have also never come this far towards their mission. This codex was not found by those in the past. As the end of the Codex nears, clarity will come, but it may not come in the way which they expect.

I understand how you feel about Markus, but he has been helpful in his own right, and should not be written off entirely. He is young and rash, but at the same time, very promising.

I know that you seek an unbiased explanation of the truth, and this you can receive within our ranks. Look to the study of antiquity for your next task.

Viel Glück!

I wonder what the last chapters of the codex may tell us...
