Dear Maureen Pickles Fan,

I am pleased to inform you that the new I Love Maureen Pickles site is up and running. Please be aware that this is only a temporary home for us, but I have nevertheless tried to include as much content from the old site as possible. Enjoy.

What a clever children's author she is! I'm all for helping such a clever woman. I'm looking over the site now for any other clues.

okay so we have two poems and a couple excerpts, i think there is something hidden in the two poems. so here they are:
Quote:
He sits there, by the tree

The dirt is staining his fabric,

The sun is burning his skin,

The rain is soaking him,

And yet,

He sits there.

The Maple draws him in

The power he cant resist,

The beauty of its bark,

The sound of the rain on its leaves,

But still,

He peels it.

The bark comes off in clumps,

And when it does

The tree sighs for it

Is now Naked again.

From: He Peels Maple

My window glows with delight,

The boats are coming in.

But I find myself disappointed with it all.

The grass is always greener,

On the other side,

But I find ships are bluer,

When they sink.

So they must sink.

From: Bluer Ships

so lets see if there is something to this...

Nice, Toasty! I knew those sounded odd... I'm at work, so my attention is limited. Smile

I had a convo with ilovemopickles on aim and I found that that persons name is Bryon.
I also found that Pickle's publisher is Paraffin Publishing and ilovemopickles gave me an email for them.

Hopefully this will bring up something new.

Nice. I am going to send them an email asking why her latest book was recalled.

I just sent an email to the ilovemopickles addy asking to join the mailing list as well as one to the publisher asking why her book was taken off the shelves and if there was any way I could still get a copy.

I got a response back from Paraffin, but it's a dead end:

Quote:
Dear Jacks,

I would like to point out, on behalf of Paraffin Publishing, that the innuendo contained within Ms. Pickles' latest book was not subtle enough to be presented to a young audience. The company stands for higher moral values than the ones that Ms. Pickles clearly stands for. The book was recalled so as not to tarnish the reputation of Paraffin Publishing.

Thankyou for your concern.
Rufus Sunflower,
Editor

http://maureenpickles.webs.com/excerpts.htm Scroll down to the last poem, then click on the "m" in music. It takes you to a wav file. The filename is "hsalsdrawrofmoc.tekcubotohp", but it's not a ROT.

Will listen in a moment...

EDIT: Um yeah ok it sounds like a recording of a violin, only backwards. Reversed, it's piano notes.

"C A F G B C D"

EDIT 2: Yeah wow I'm slow. I got all that and JUST realized the filename was backwards.
