She's amazingly quick!

The examiner at the most left: 0:19-0:29
The examiner at the second right: 0:36-0:43

The first word "Tamen" (=but, however) is the only word I understood!

EDIT: I could comprehend "Ni ne havas elekton" (We don't have choice.) too.

Alright I puzzled over it, and now I'm off to bed. Here I'll post what I got so someone else can pick up where I left off. Yay for worldspanning experiences, eh?

Quote:
Tamen, ŝia familione estas [?su fridenda]
Kiu okazus se ŝi [?puro menos]
[?Samparde] kiel la frato

Nevertheless, her family [?must be cold]
Who would occur if she were [?Unknown]
[?Unknown] as the brother

We don't have a choice
Almost all of the other worlds send her
We don't [?Unknown] to list
[?Unknown] large world.

ESTIMATED MEANING:

Nevertheless, her family must be willing to risk losing her. Which one (which world?) might occur if she were (not sent?)… something about her brother… perhaps he was sent in another world?

We don't have a choice. Almost all of the other worlds send her (so clearly something's up). We don't (something about a list?) (regarding a?) large world.

Thanks a lot, Dave! I agree.

My temporary transcription:

Tamen, ŝia familio ne estas fidinda.
(But her family is not reliable.)
(What would happen if she strolled the same path(?) like the brother?)

Ni ne habas elekton.
(We don't have choice.)
(Almost entirely of the other worlds send her.)
Ni ne dozas riski, je(?) ĉi(?) franĝa mondo.
(We don't measure risk, in(?) here(?) fringe world.)

(blog translation)
I have imitated what the examiners said ...
As I don't understand Esperanto, the source language, I don't know how close I am ...^_^;
Does anybody (Esperanto expert?) understand what they said even from my bad language?

... (Esperanto)
... (Esperanto)

(video translation for Japanese parts)
I'd like to duplicate faithfully what the examiners were speaking during the interview, which I think is Esperanto. First, the interviewer who was at the leftmost said like this,
... (Esperanto)
then, the second examiner from the right replied like this, I remember,
... (Esperanto)
As I don't understand Esperanto, my accents and so on should be wrong, but please let me know if anybody can understand what these mean. They might give us a clue.

It's kind of interesting that knowing Esperanto isn't a job requirement for multiversal travelers. The selection committee knows it, but they are choosing athletes (or at least this one) who don't know it and they used it to exclude her from understanding what was being said about her family.

I suppose it sounds like her brother was chosen before but took a wrong path when he got to the other world.

As I'm not confident in my transcription, so I would appreciate it if you could check the two:
- sampade (I thought it's sama+pade, but I can't find "sampade" in any dictionaries)
- the last sentence (riski is infinitive and I'm not sure about transcription of dozas, je(?) ĉi(?) )

On the last sentence, I think I hear:
Ni ne do ludriski
we don't, then, gamble (to play at risk)
iĝi franĝa mondo
to become a fringe world.

So I think the second man is saying, they have no choice but to send her because the other worlds are sending her. Not sending her is taking a gamble at becoming an external world in danger of Neopangaea.

Thank you, jasper, that would make more sense. But ludriski is infinitive and it might not be able to make a sentence.

I'm still talking with Noriko in her forum about what the examiners said.
She wonders whether her brother also went to Theo's side.

He and Renata might have been in the same team, and they might be still together.

It's not grammatically correct, I know. I also have a harder time interpreting Noriko's own accent delivering the Esperanto syllables than you might.

Maybe she can go back into the labyrinth focusing on a question about her brother.

I had advised her not to run a personal labyrinth too often like Ariadne.

Noriko's twitter (it's not easy for me to express her nuance, but she is really confused):
I have no idea what and how to do ... T_T Although I want to consult somebody, I don't know who is linked with Theo ... @_@ And Ariadne, a potential leader, makes no reply. There's only three months before the multiverse Olympiad, but ... 12:44 PM May 15, 2008 from web

As she's been one of the most stable among the six, I am concerned about her current situation. I have no idea what to advise her .... Won't anybody give her good advice?

But the 6 have to use it to find out how to cary out their mission. They aren't all going to end up obsessed and wearing a path into the floor.
