We thought it might be related to the final mission
Quote:
Mission finale
THE RIVARD PROJECT :::::: FIN DE LA MISSION 04 / END OF MISSION 04

Mission 04 is now over, and we now know that FBI team, no matter what strategy was used, managed to earn the most points, thus allowing that team to obtain the final mission's plan.

As you all know, there were black ops in both teams, but only Maurice knows how many.
Certain of those double agents chose their camp right from the start, others never took advantage of their status, while some gave up and other became autoproclaimed spies. All this spiced up the mission.

As far as I am concerned, all the players are winners in this game, but that cannot be said of Monsieur Paul and Jeffrey Cohen... There is a price to pay for trying too hard to hide things...

The final mission plan aims at finding the file containing Rose Cheramie's testimony. However, as you are well aware, if that mission's clues are delivered via email or the winning team's HQ, the other team will have access to that information within the hour. On the other hand, we can't be expected to send those clues only to a handful of trustworthy players. That would mean disregarding people who have helped you from the beginning and who also have a right to complete this final mission since they are on the winning team.

Voici notre proposition.
Here's our proposal to you. Think about it, you have until tomorrow to answer... and regain your composure.

Individually, identify the 3 agents / associates who, in your mind, were the most valuable to your team. They will act as negociators.

Once these agents/associates have been identified, we will negociate very briefly tomorrow morning, on each team's blog.

COSA NOSTRA : rendez-vous avec Lucien dans le bureau de feu Monsieur Paul de 8:00 à 8:30 AM - UTC-4 / FBI rendez-vous avec M. Thompson dans le bureau de Jeffrey Cohen de 8:45 à 9:15 AM - UTC-4
COSA NOSTRA : meet Lucien in the office of Monsieur Paul from 8:00 to 8:30 AM - UTC-4 / FBI meet Mr. Thompson in the office of Jeffrey Cohen from 8:45 to 9:15 AM - UTC-4

Le temps presse, afin de déterminer si :
Time is of the essence in order to determine which of the following will happen:

a - étant donné les résultats serrés des derniers jours, nous formons une seule et même équipe pour le dévoilement de la mission finale ;
given the last few days' extremely close results for both teams, we merge them to complete the final mission ;

b - nous donnons le plan de mission finale uniquement à l'équipe qui a le plus de points, en sachant qu'il y a queques black ops en opération;
we give the final mission plan the the team with the most points, knowing that there will be black ops in action ;

we divulge the clues one by one to both teams, but giving the winning team a 3 hours headstart.

We had initially planned to enforce the C option, but we've decided to let you argue about this project since you've all impressed us with the quality of your work.

Before making your choice, bear in mind that the final mission will only have one answer box to fill and that the first team to enter the correct answer becomes the winning team. Also bear in mind that this is a collaborative game and that the goal is to find Rose's testimony and to make it public. With or without team rivality.

We will carefully read your emails until tomorrow morning's meeting. Please don't worry if we don't answer each and every one, we anticipate we will have a lot of reading to do until then.

Lucien Rivard - lucienrivardSPLAThotmail.com /
Maurice Bishop - mauricebishopciaSPLAThotmail.com

Negotiations were held this morning for both teams. Smile

Hmmm...I missed that email somehow... Confused I've been lurking and not contributing very much, but may get up to speed for this last mission.

Laughing
There were some problems with the game that made it very hard for some of the players. Smile When the blog http://fbiteam.lucienrivard.com opened the first night the Cosa Nostra blog wasn't active so the Cosa Nostra members got registered for the FBI blog. Justme made a secure forum for the FBI but a lot of the players didn't want to use it and the first day a lot of Cosa Nostra members were able to become members of our secure forum. We tried to get more documentation from people that they were really FBI but some players simply became offended by all the security.

At one point we were able to recruit more players for our team which led to a lot of cheating and more people becoming registered for the opposite team so they could spy. (which helped the FBI team out a lot, we finally were able to get spys into their blog).

All the french translation became very tiring as well. About 90% of the French players on the blog wouldn't post bilingually so we always had to keep a translator window open and even then sometimes the online translators don't get the meaning quite correct. Frequently even the PM would post in French only. In fact the rules for the game never were made available in English. Rolling Eyes

Besides all of this there were a lot of mistakes. The fist Dallas drop was messed up because even though the contact we had there gave the library the correct password, the library didn't release the package to them. Confused

A lot of the drops were in France where we had very few players and trying to communicate with the few players we had there was difficult because of the time difference, and is seemed like there was typically less than a day to get the pickup. So we would get the information that the drop was going to happen while the French people were asleep and have to leave them messages to tell them where they would have to be the next day before we were awake.

But we do appreciate all of your help as well as Jain's. The extra points became very critical. Smile

Good job FBI.

Um, FBI. Do you know exactly WHAT the document said? What exactly did the witness say?

Rose Cheramie Testimony

The testimony is online on YouTube and in the video section of the Projet Rivard group on Facebook.

Was i a mistake? I mean with the whole both-team thing. THEY DID NOT HAVE A SINGLE THING planned for me! thats what ruined this for me.

Since it's over...lol....I was a double agent, too, Tabster. I had one assignment at the beginning of the first mission and that was it. I didn't even fill out the mission reports after the first two.

Double agents

The only mistake about double-agent is actually that we didn't chose them.
It was random. If i do another one, I would wait after a week of gameplay and personnaly picked them, instead of doing a draw ...

Sorry for that.

Yeah, that probably would be better to do, but I liked the idea.

There's a message en français saying that the winner was FBI -

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=25809

Does that mean anything to the players posting here?
