The Claremont, CA location is in the middle of the intersection of Foothill and Mountain, about a mile down the street from the Claremont colleges... not exactly super close, but there's nothing else really there. A little mini-mall with Ralph's on the corner. Just confirmed that Claremont Camera & Video is in that shopping center, though. Funny the things we remember.

When I look at this graph:
http://www.hylobatidae.org/apiary/axon.png

I see a star field. The clusters of locations representing bigger brighter stars, etc. We got any astronomers out there?

Sorries if this has been mentioned.

At the Addison & Wilton intersection (Chicago, IL) most notably contains a liquor store.

The CTA is right next to it, and Wrigley Field just a bit down the way from there.

Lurker here stepping to the foreground...

Possible theory...looking over the text I believe the "flea" was searching for "the great library"

"saw it once, before the Apocalypse. I wish I could remember more about that, but the stupid Spider appears not to have recognized the supreme importance of all memories associated with the truth, and they are gone, initialized in an eyeblink, burned in the mindless fire of her purgation like the great library of... the great library...

whose name I no longer remember. "

I know this was discussed as a possible category. Maybe search all know libraries at those locations?

try http://skyandtelescope.com/observing/skychart/article_1220_1.asp# for a starmap, you can input coordinates and time (24 aug?)

Guys, I've been lurking and have found something of possible interest based on the pictures of the unicorn. There is a constellation called Monteceros. I have found this picture of it that VERY closely resembles the stars consisting of it. What do you guys think?

Yeah. Me. (Sort of...) Smile

Are you thinking of the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram? It's what looked vaguely familiar to me, anyway...

The coordinates seem too closely tied to real locations to be a constellation, though - and it completely loses the 'pegasus-ness' when plotted on to the globe. Plus the 'pegasus' looks more like Pikachu, anyhow. Wink

I think there's something in the categorisation of the different places. Might it be characters encoded in 7-bit ASCII or something? 'Library or other place of learning' for a one, 'empty field' for a zero? Summat like that?

Maybe it's a URL. Yes, this is wild speculation!

Hmm, wouldn't let me edit my post. anyways, it is called Monoceros. I added an extra t that shouldn't have been there. Also here is the original graph. Let me know if I'm crazy. I've been on here all day so I may be delirious. There seems to be some missing, but someone with more experience with constellations may want to pursue it further.

Very nice. I've been saying this for sometime. It's probably a connect the dots.

Good job on that star map though

But even then, what good does that do? A unicorn, etc..? Where would that fit into the story?

Also, did anyone notice the bug in the main page...

only *sometimes* when the black box first loads it only says: "System Peril Distributed" (sans Reflex)

I'd imagine there is no intent there to add to the game...

Doesn't actually look like a bug. If it was a bug, I don't think it woudl center itself so much.

Perhaps it has a meaning?

More than a bug...

-Cheers

What remains to be seen, though: Um, so what if there's a wifi hotspot? What are we going to do with it? We're obviously already connected, so why a wifi?

Many wi-fi access points bring you to a home page when you open your browser, regardless of what address you used. Usually it's for logging in your name or entering billing information, but sometimes is just to say Hi and Welcome. You might get to homepage that gives some sort of direct contact with in-game characters/entities.

It's as easy as someone going to a spot and running a site survey from their wi-fi utilities.
