Are you sure that's not the other way round?! But I need to go now, so we won't need helmets to block those transmissions.

#43
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Clock Tower at the Ferry Building in San Francisco
37.7955 Lat
-122.3937 Long

eta: What does it mean when you get
Quote:
Data analysis...
Checking coordinates... OK
Compute position... OK

Result: INCORRECT POSITION

because that's what I get for #36...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Andy Warhol. Self-Portrait which hangs in the Museum of Modern Art in NYC

lat: 40.7608985901 long: -73.9796981812

Does it just mean wrong answer, or do the OK's mean that's close?

eta: OMG, I'm obsessed with this thing! Somebody stop me!
Another self-portrait is #15. Paul Gauguin

yet another edit: I'm seeing a pattern here.
Another self portrait for #27.
Botticelli in his Adoration of the Magi.

Binary numbers in decimal are : 43 , 1, 49 and 7, that correspond to the "clocks" pictures, I guess this is a clue to find the house (?) of the #31...

I think it just means wrong location but the long/lat is submitted in the right format. I tried a few things out with that. I get the wrong location one a lot and it turns out it's just not the right place so I think it means just that.

It IS addictive. And annoying. When you're certain something is something but apparently it's not (like the Warhol one). Still working on it but running out of ideas...

I made some tests with Big Ben tower, precision of the location seems to be less than 1km (0.6 miles), so coordinates should have at least 3 decimals to be accurate.

The "ERROR/OK" in coordinates/precision only means you have entered a correct number (decimal point must be a . not a ,).

Stupid question #1,227:

How do I get long/lat from an address?

Anyway, I'm pretty sure #33 (Bicyclist) is Eddy Merckx. The Eddy Merckx factory is at:
Birrebeekstraat 1
1860 Meise
Belgium

Google is your friend!

Tried the coords - no luck. I was thinking more along the lines of Tour de France locations for that one but haven't got around to it yet.

For others struggling with find long/lat for a place, just throw the place in google along with "longitude" and 99% of the time you'll turn up Google Earth file you can view in cache for info.

To pancito: There's no such thing as a stupid question.
To plugs: Heck, I'll identify a few more if it helps others find the co-ordinates.

*#4 Borley Rectory in Borley, Essex, England is another haunted place. The woman pictured is Marianne Foyster, the Rector's wife.

* #19 Lotus Racecar #2 housed at Donington F1 Museum, Castle Donington. (It's not the exact photo but you can see the Dunlop sign on the wall.)

* #23 Daley Thompson a former decathlete from England. (wiki link)

And from the source code, a page with all the hints in one place. http://www.geopikzz.com/hints.php

If this turns out to be a rabbit hole, that would be amazing. Even if it's not, it's a fun diversion.
