[NEW/META] New www.ilovebees.com discussion forum

I have created a new www.ilovebees.com discussion forums on my new site:

http://www.the7threvolution.com/forum/index.php

Scroll down, and you'll see it. I hope many of you will join and discussion will arouse soon. Its also for those Halo fans that want a Halo forum where they can discuss this phenomenon without getting their message deleted (and example is the HBO [halo.bungie.org] forums).

This is just an small attempt at seperating the wall between the ARG community with the Halo community.

Hope to see alot of you also talking there.

I think this is not a bad idea, but I just want to be quick to point out that there shouldn't be a "wall" between ARGers and Halo-ites... The only problem that we've encountered with Haloites are that they're posting spec based on the books, and that's not in-game. It may very well be what happens, and I don't think people are discounting that possibility, but it's like reading the last page of a mystery novel... why do it? We know this will most likely be a Halo ending here, or it may just pass through that universe, but making connections to Cortana or other Halo characters, when it hasn't been brought up in-game is either wrong or behind the curtain, and thou shalt not look behind the curtain. That's just how the game is played... there aren't many rules to ARGs... so those that are in place are important. We want Halo discussion, but it's Meta until it's in game (For example, talking about Reach, glassing, or ONI is all good, since that's totally in game currently, get it?) So please, go to this site, but know that we encourage anyone here, but there are rules here. Abide those rules, and you're going to go far, but ignore those rules and you will be moderated. That's all... Thanks for listening to my rant!

I wouldn't say it's wrong. I would just say that any connections talked about that aren't verified by some in game means is just speculation (until proven otherwise). Spec is good, even wrong spec.

And I agree there doesn't need to be a wall put up between ARGers and Halo'ers. What about those of us who like Halo and ARGs?

Thank you Varin. You are correct. I apologize, as "wrong" was the wrong term here. I'm still tired...

The point here is just as she said: It's spec, and all spec is good, but I think people are still missing the in game/out of game definitions here. Just because something is out of game doesn't discount it as a distinct possibility, but it does make it spec no matter how good the argument. Agreed? whereas info based on in-game info is still most likely spec, but could be fact, if based on solid, totally-in-game info. For example, the Queen being the Operator being Melissa. Do we have info that blatantly states that these entities are one in the same, no! So it's spec, but it's also agreed upon that these entities are the same because in game, the M.O. is the same, the text references to this fact, and so on. So I guess the main point here is what is in-game vs. what's out-of-game. N'est pas?
