Can't be positive, of course, because the PMs could be struggling with a mammoth problem or something, but I've a feeling that we have some clues we should be putting together and they are waiting for us to do that. One of the things I've been thinking about is the cat-eye glasses secretary that Pat and Dave mention (and that zinc caught).

Maybe we should go over everything we've been given so far in terms of videos. I mean, the cat-eye glasses woman (whom I'm going to refer to from now on as Cat Eyes because I'm lazy) appeared in the trailer, next to Dave sporting his neck brace. Since we entirely missed the reference to Cat Eyes until zinc pointed it out, I'm wondering what else we might have missed.

I think we can be pretty sure that Pat and Dave were not talking about Ole Cat Eyes when they mentioned seeing another agent, because I don't think that the secretary would be a field agent, and it seems like Cat Eyes kidnapped Wendy before either party of legitimate agents arrived. I think if the person P & D saw were Cat Eyes, they would have remarked on it as being a little weird--they ARE our paranoid conspiracy nuts, after all.

Another thing I think we should remember is that there was that strange man sort of floating in the trailer. I'm not absolutely positive, but he didn't seem to look like Sam Skinery to me, so I'm wondering who the heck he is. Because of his facial expressions, I don't think he's on the side of the angels, but we can't be sure yet, I guess.

Anyway, I think maybe we should check out some of these things, as well as the relationships between the names of the shards and see if we can link them up so that we can get them into the 16-point dreamcatcher design. As well as looking at the grid you can view by trying to put in an answer for the Shards and Keys puzzle.

EDIT: I'd also like to point out that clip in the trailer showing Dave talking to the secretary must have happened after the second video where Pat talks about how time works between our reality and the sixth dimension, because he doesn't start sporting the neck brace until after the three YouTube videos. I think maybe he started wearing it after video three, because at the end of that video, he looks like his neck was really starting to bother him, probably because of his falling in video 2.

 		you know, i wonder if with the clues he gave us for the shards (remember, this was just a thought) mabye had a meaning to them... u know, like the cereberus. or the xibalba. mabye tose things have a meaning!!!!! Embarassed

and, uh, sry for the monkeys ass. i had a near death exp. yesterday coming back from RH, lighting hit the plane, and someone screamed, the planes on fire! and me being religous, i shoot 20 hail marys out of my mouth at once, but we got down safely.... well, a bit of mental damage... thats where the ass comes in. Sorry, just wanted to share that, i like to share stories....

EDIT: whoa, what trailer?! and what video were they talking to someone else?! wow, i must have missed a hell of a lot.

EDIT: Meant to mention that I did do a little dog and pony show explaining how the meaning of the shards interwove. It's in a speculation that may be found HERE.

The answers to all of these question can actually be found by going to the Sky sticky (Sky Useful Information post) at the top of the page under CF with Potential. I won't put all of the links for everything in here but head on over there to make sure you access everything. I will, however, mention that PMs are the Puppet Masters--the people who are running the game. (The explanation of that acronym is actually on that Useful info post, too.)

I can't speak for anyone else but I wasn't offended by the animal reference. It just made me think, "Exactly how clean could that be?"

No, no, no. Don't feel stupid. It is hard to keep track of things that happened long before you entered the game. No demerits will be given. Besides, I think you can coast along on that catch from the Pat and Dave video for quite some time. That was an important bit of info.

  1. If the kidnapper is the secretary to which Dave refers, why didn't Poliakov tell us that? Since she was able to tell us that the woman was not one of her field agents, then surely she must have seen her in the video? If she didn't recognize her, it would seem to indicate that she doesn't work in the same office that Poliakov did.

  2. Who is Poliakov? Even Pat and Dave have indicated that they've never seen her. Is she an actual person, or just a voice simulation from the satellite?

I wasn't offended either. It was funny. I just never thought of monkeys as being particular clean in that, um, area. (No offense to any simians who may be reading this.)

I guess it's possible she could have a secretary she's never seen (was that the deal in Grosse Pointe Blank?), or maybe the secretary isn't the kidnapper. We still have a mole though, so we could say that all the bad guys wear those glasses. Laughing I took some screencaps that I'll put in the "mole" thread.

    Whoever P & D saw heading for the house could've been too far away for them to get a good look at. And I'm not all that surprised they've never met Poliakov - neither have we, and they're Silver agents just like us. I wish they'd post on the forum though! (I miss the days of Geist when they had their own. Really wish I'd been able to finish that game.)

    EDIT: I just realized that there isn't exactly a grid--it's just that on the image that shows the shards and keys and shows which letter we use from each one, there are spaces between some of the lines. I think that's what carmenmiranda is talking about. If you need help getting to that, holler.

    Actually, not so clueless a question. I was just trying to find that myself, and the only reason I remembered how to find it is that the URL name is kind of odd. You'll find it HERE. I can't remember exactly which post this was mentioned in.

    And actually, it was carmenmiranda who mentioned the grid. I'm actually not sure where it is, either. Yo, carmen, could you let us know the URL for the grid, or tell us exactly how to get to it? Or if anyone else knows, could you clue us in?

         		I was referring to the shards-and-letters page, which lists on the left side what letters we're looking for in each of the shard clues, and in which order to place them. Then, on the right side of the page, there's a 4x4 grid containing all of the shards, from 16 on down.

         		Wiki Update
    Info for shards 6 and 11 now on site; also video for shards 13 and 16
    I asked setters if I could load all of the files for her two finds since I had a little time, so all of her files are now loaded onto the wiki. I have, hopefully, labeled everything correctly, and not forgotten any pictures. If you haven't had chance to look at her pictures, do. The pictures inside the giant hedge are especially beautiful, and I love the image of the sign she includes, too. Makes you feel like you were there with her.

    Changes wiki:
    1. Shards 6 and 11 images uploaded.
    2. Added shards 6 and 11 transcripts from setters393.
    3. Moved tabs for shards 6 and 11 to "Found" area and included answers.
    4. Added video for shards 13 and 16.
    5. For ease of use, I've ripped audio from shards 13 and 16 videos so that it can be found in the audio section with the others. Will add transcript shortly.
    6. Fixed shard 15 location (now listed as Rotterdam).


    Planned changes for wiki:
    Include method of solve instructions for all of Wendy's puzzles (we'll see if that happens any time soon)
