Here's what connecting each A coord to B coord and plotting all the lines gives.

UFO!

It looks like a UFO!

>_>

<_<

*runs and hides*

Seriously, I hate not knowing what we're supposed to do with these coordinates. It seems like we're running around in circles.

You can pretty well see it's gibberish... how I did it was read the array into MATLAB from an Excel file, then ran a for loop and for every row plotted a line from [X1 Y1] to [X2 Y2] if anyone wants to check my picture on their own time.

Report from Madison, WI

Reporting in from Madison, I went downtown to check out the two coords in my hometown. I used the USGS aerial maps to pinpoint pretty closely where exactly the coords were at, and double checked with a GPS device. The first one is an ATM machine recessed into the outside wall of the University Book Store, across from the Campus Library (but slightly offset). The GPS wasn't exactly spot on, so it's possible it could have meant a location slightly on the other side of the wall (IE inside the closed bookstore).
The other coord was a sign in a parking lot saying "3 hour limit." Checked it for a cache, didn't see anything in the immediate vicinity, but of course I don't have the best experience with that. If you guys want I'll go back tomorrow with a digi camera and post some pics of the sites and their vicinities.

hm.....

Okay, so what do we know so far? These coords have little relation to each other than the fact that they're all in the United States and aren't in some deserted, remote part of the country (all are in a populated area). This doesn't tell us a whole lot, like an earlier post said, maybe we're looking at this the wrong way?

edit: areas with a whole lot of books is a small connection, i dont think all of 'em have a bookstore right by 'em though...

Location: Far Far Away. Nowhere Near You. Really.

Mukaikubo - terrific work, but instead of piling them all on top of each other, what happens if you try smaller groups? Do pairs 1-4 or 1-7, for example, draw something? If so, then do 5-9 or 8-11 draw something? If not, do they draw something if you add or drop something in the sequence? (and god forbid, if this were right, that the pairs not be listed in sequence....) Just a thought.

I'm sticking with the idea that somewhere around those areas the Operator/widow attempted to spread or will spread. Perhaps she opened a webpage pertaining to one of these areas?

Point being you're not going to find a Halo 2 laying anywhere near these areas so visiting them all won't give us a huge advantage in any way.

i'm still iffy, but I still say perhaps this can relate to some sort of trajectory in space.

Perhaps space cordinates or something...

Like IronmanX74 said...it's like we're running around in circles here.

We've already agreed there isn't much of a relation within any of these areas. Libraries might be present but the area isn't on the library. If they really wanted us to look for libraries i think the coordinates would be right on top.

They're all in the United States, near it's borders as well...what could it be looking for might be the question. Or what is it doing in these places...

-My .02 cents. Cheers

Good Gravy! This thread started like 12 hours ago and it's already at 26 pages. This coordinate stuff is nerve-racking. Coffee

I think this puzzle was meant to be done over a 2 week timespan...not 1 night Wink

And I wouldn't put it past Bungie, or Microsoft, to be this involved and in depth. For example, this summer's college interns at Microsoft had a 3 day scavenger hunt throughout Washington state, designed by Microsoft engineers in their spare time. Clues included random cell phone calls and items left in trash bins in the middle of a forest outside of town... Coffee

ya know... the recipies pages are still largely unobstructed, and we haven't ever found a use for them. maybe we couldn't solve the recipes pages because they weren't a problem, but rather a solution. just some spec.

Ah...i just read the wiki (passed my mind a couple times)

Quote:
China coords: If you reverse the coords, they all point to locations in China. (As seen here on the forums (http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5476&start=150). Coincidence? --Zedix 12:43, 10 Aug 2004 (PDT)

Anyone want to start cracking on it? He says it's a bit far fetched (bruce i mean) but why not check it out anyways? Maybe we can outline a pentagram(ahhhh....too much doom3)

Quote:
also note, that these points aren't necessary accurate to the meter (some people seem to zoom in until a coordinate hits a block on a hiway divider). This is obviously only accurate to 1/1000th, so anything within the area covered by that 1/1000th of the rounded coordinate is what's tagged. Not the precise location (ie, instead of search for point locations, search for what the area of that coordinate may cover - likely a square/rectangular area) -Thebruce

And there we have another thing. Everyones so busy trying to find the exact location, what if it's sort of the left of the dot on map quest?

and finally I give you the link so you can visit it http://bees.netninja.com/wiki/index.php?title=GPS_Coordinates

I hope I got some wheels turning.

-Cheers

Very Happy

Most ATM's have webcams ...
Even Most Historical landmarks have webcams..
Even some intersections have traffic cameras...
Malls have security cameras....
Parking lots have the same...
Now the ..open fields or .. parks ...vacant lots .. no clue about those

Since we know that Our AI(s) can access dana's webcam, I think we should be looking for any type of camera .. as well as caches , ad clues ..ect.

I haven't seen many post's including technology of this sort in the recon post's .. i have seen ATM's and thats where this thought has come from .. Post's including this would seem to be beneficial.. please correct me if im wrong .. and look for Big brother .....

Ps . Is there a thread for the "recon posts only" so its not all jumbled in with the rest ..
