These are indeed unique hash keys and as their names state will most likely be used to track the EVENT/STATE/VIEW that the web application is showing you (i.e. web pages). They are used by a web app to track and control workflow/view/events through a web application and perform simple validation such as "are you logged on?" and "is password correct?"

Also, these will most likely change every time the web application is edited or changed, either to repair bugs/errors or perhaps add game content?

See this post for an error message discovered earlier, those hash keys probably changed due to the PM repairing the error.

I just wanted to note that my wife informs me that I have a package waiting at home. She described it as having some wierd writing on it, I can only assume that it is my Umbrati button.

I have been asked a couple of questions regarding my package. Here are the answers:

The folded piece of paper is just covering my personal information. I put it there.

What I scanned is all that was there. I scoured the envelope for other clues and found nothing. The way I figured out the address is pretty simple. I figured it was international and that meant the last word would be the country name. After running tons of countries through my head, I finally remembered that Italy in Italian is Italia. It fit and also confirmed that the first word was probably "The". After that it was just a matter of substituting and guessing words in Italian.

by the way, minor package analysis, similar to the lightbringers one:

Zip code is 10017, which is in New York.

More specifically it's Manhatten, which together with Oak Ridge might lead us somewhere. Oak Ridge is where they refined the U-235 for the Manhatten Project. May be a herring, though...

I don't think anyone has said that the address is the Coliseum in Rome. You can GoogleMap that too...

So, Coliseum, Westminster, Manhatten and Oak Ridge. Any takers?

To quote OFL from here...
Quote:
Since I have to put an address in, I pick landmarks. LGL's business addresses were the Florida Atlantic University main office and Boca Raton City Hall.

I think there's nothing to it being Westminster Abbey or the Coliseum, except that they're obviously not real organisations' addresses (for meta purposes).

Oh, and I also sent a (rather formal) email to Ms Nyx. We'll see if I get a reply.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
as far as I know, using locations that are obviously out of game is the style of the pm so players don't go places.

OK, now we're back in N&R and all of the other threads locked. I can't say I disagree with this (nothing has really happened yet), but I don't know if this should be the one and only thread.
ETA - just saw steve's posts in the others...

I've not got my package yet, but that's maybe because I'm in the UK?

BTW the password guessing thread has been locked, I'm guessing becuase we're not really supposed to start multiple threads for the same game in N&R. Having said that, given the PM, the number of players etc. I'd vote for a swift move to Potentials?

EDIT: Just read Toasty's thread and realised the other threads are locked. I think we need 3 threads minimum (again prompts a move to Potentials?) One thread for dark, one for light, and one to rule them all sorry! for the overall game (Seeing as none of us know what this is all about yet..).

Should we not have valid threads for discussion of the trailheads for both sides of this thing? I mean we are supposed to oppose one another and they are two separate trailheads and sites.

BTW Toasty, love the SiD bar in your sig, can that be the new offical SiD bar? (as in may we appropriate it to declare our loyalty the the Dark?)

Okay, since all of the other threads have been locked, I'm going to post here.

I got a Lightbringer envelope today, and having scanned all the threads for info, my head is spinning...
1) Do the BoL have a site that needs a passwords, or is it only the SiDs?
2) Has anyone figured out what the bookmark for the Lights says?

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong thread-- if there is a Lights thread, please redirect me.

To be fair (ugly lighter trait) we don't know if we are opposing factions or not, we don't really know anything about this yet...

Still has anyone PM'd vpisteve to point out he left the wrong thread open? Or to debate the move back?

P.S. Elite, there is a Light thread, but it's been locked. (That's Light as in BoL, not lo-cal)

I suppose, if we didn't have a priori knowledge of this, we definitely could have two separate trailheads. If we are down to one for now, I might suggest that it be the 18 page agnostic one instead of this.

As for the bars, it's cool with me as long as it doesn't upset Spacebass or any of the other mods if we use them. I don't want to start an epidemic of userbar wars here, and this is the only time here at uF I'd even considered using one. If it's not ok, then I'll gladly just stick the text in my sig.

I've made bars for both sides. I have a subtle variation of each as I have a terrible time making final decisions. Here they are:

Fixed it^^^
