LOST

Alrighty, all I have to do is change the title to the Lightbringers, and it can be unlocked? Change it to what? A locked thread cannot be edited.

Where am I now? .... ..... .........................

Why do I feel like there is a discussion going on somewhere else?

Mass update of the wiki. Mafe it a bit more friendly, added a couple of pages, talked about the trailheads, but there is nothing really new.

EVENTVALIDATION/VIEWSTATE are all Base64 (and sometimes more encrypted). All it does is hold the values of all of your variables to prevent injection, etc.

Also, if anyone wants to take apart the Flash:

In Umbrati site's source there is this code:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Flare, a flash decompiler. http://www.nowrap.de/flare.html

Quote:
input type="hidden" name="__EVENTVALIDATION" id="__EVENTVALIDATION"

value="

the bolded in particular. I gather this is just encryption for the password, but I was wondering if there is any way to look at this format and determine the format of the password. It's the + signs in there that sort of hit me that it's got 3 parts or segments since the rest are numbers and letters... so do the / and + necessarily suggest some format here or is that just standard encryption usage?

You know, I haven't played an ARG in a while...but I checked my mail box today, and lo' and behold, there's a little envelope with weird writing and a button with quasi-readable letters.

I immediately thought "ARG!", and remembered signing up a while back for either the Light or the Darkness.

This is officially my first-ever ARG-related piece of memorabilia...I shall cherish it forever Very Happy

Anyway, yeah, looks like I'll be following this. I'm back! Woohoo!

I was looking at it and wondering if anyone has info possible information about it?
It's obviously the sender's name and mailing address. Do we know what country it might have originated from? I also noticed theres some double letter combinations in it which should make breaking it easier.

You're talking about the return addy on the swag? Done. See p. 2 and following. Or is this something new?

ETA: Wiki is up to date. And...
Someone asked me about a chat room last night...

Just received an email. Possibly gamejack, since it comes from a random gmail...

I received the same email too. Was debating whether to post it here since I am quite dubious of its relevance.

I would guess this means that we are not yet supposed to find the passwords to the sites?

Damn you're fast! Got the mail too

EDIT: so it's clearly saying we need a little patience, but also we need to find the heart that weeps and the fire that burns.

there's a movie called "the fire that burns", but I think it's not related (.

So far I'm leaning towards Old Testament dudes, there seems to be a few quotes that tie in Jeremiah, and perhaps Joshua, but I'm not getting a definite hit...

BTW the login page at Umbrati is fixed.
