Some leads towards transliteration

* The script that appears on the above ad and the third ancient language on http://chishio.jp can be found in this book The Alphabet: An Account of the Origin and Development of Letters, page 227. (The first column of the Punic section seems to be the closest.)

* http://lexicorient.com/e.o/ugaritic.htm is another site for Ugaritic reference.

But NONE of it makes SENSE! Mad Evil or Very Mad Mad

For instance, I tried to come up with a translation for the 4th letter on Chishio.jp and got:

NMSZ - ZRH - HDS - M'N - HDS - L'BDT - 'LN - 'D - 'LM

There are no vowels on these old languages, and I'd venture to say that there are very few people out there who can actually translate this stuff

Now, I know the Gatekeeper said that the site is for a very specific group of people, but if she's referring to people who can actually TRANSLATE this mess, she can go pound sand.

Idea : a couple of these vowel-less languages actually kinda remind me of hebrew... I wonder if i could make it look like hebrew and then take it to someone who can translate that, because at least Hebrew isn't a dead language Rolling Eyes

ALSO, looks like bloodcopy.com just posted another image of a 'tb' ad in a newspaper from a foreign country, almost as if to PROVE to us that the ad actually shows up in newspapers... kinda strange that it would show up after our debate over whether the ad was IN or ON the paper... Cool And it says the paper is from Paris, but the text is not French...

And one more thing, they claim that the picture was received via email, and they also say they are posting it before hey head off to the university, meaning roger and andrew received the email. Now, I emailed roger and andrew last night. No response yet...

Third Message

Using the link from drizjr I got this
Note: the 'As are 'Ayins and the As are Alephs. Also either the Ds or Rs could be Bs (the symbols are very similar, hell I might have the Ds and Rs reveresed).

This is how it apears in the message:

HN'AMATMNSDCVRD
MN'AMNYSQNMSDC

It looks like it's right justified, so it might be read from right to left:

DRVCDSNMTAM'ANH
CDSMNQSYNM'ANM

At least this one has vowels.

I think it will take all four messages to make sense. It has to be another code.

Maybe BloodCopy's "University" will give us another clue before the timer runs out tonight.

Not certain how relevant this is but the newspaper is writen in Dutch and it is a well done photoshop which is easy to see by mirroring the image. Good luck y'all and just know that uF is considered a safe zone for discussions. Cool

Well to be fair they are only "meddling" when we "break the rules" and go digging where we aren't supposed to in an ARG...granted we are just frantically looking for clues but it's still OOC

Yes it may be true that they expected their campaign to be more 'air-tight' than this... but that fact leads me to believe that they expect us to be a little bit dumber than we are... meaning the clues might not be as cryptic as they seem... but then again, the circular seal seemed pretty tough to crack. I don't know... I feel very lost, and I have no idea where to look for answers. to be honest, we may just be in the midst of a waiting game with regards to BloodCopy.com.

I think there are clues in the newspapers still...

Also the newspaper doesn't say it's from Paris, it's one of the headings like "this is taking place in Paris" Andrew said it was sent from Paris by "Jon" (Who uses just first names on the net? NPCS?) and that it was a scan. Well I'm pretty sure it isn't a scan either because scans don't usually contain shadows.

I put:

In babelfish and this is what i got:

The last days was feel it already but the ball is by the church. Reno and Linda are no longer the golden kopel. The new contract that signed Reno and the not kunoen travel for Linda were large busy on the relation, after 9 years, are it concerning. In a response Reno say with a broken voice: " I hou of its, and future will say what will happen, text: RvdV

I can't find any english or dutch articles that seem to have anything to do with the above...

True revenantones was a pretty clever crack, but then again how long did it take us to get to bloodcopy.com? She'd been saying it all night...

I'm looking at the registration info for chishio.jp...

Probably another thing they dont want us doing...

But I googled the address and came up with a few things:

Tokyo Commodities Futures Exchange
3-43-13 Koenji-Kita, Suginami-Ku, Tokyo, Japan
(same address) http://www.tcfx.jp and their website is down.

http://cloverfieldclues.blogspot.com/2007/10/jamieandteddy-video-3-ex.html
THIS one's interesting... dedicated to the old Cloverfield ARG, and references a whois lookup for a japanese domain with the same address. the site was boldfutura.jp but it is no longer working...

Are True Blood and Cloverfield connected in any way?

also: http://www.southernvampires.com/ -- I couldn't get on it yesterday, but it's working today.

Casting info from Rhoswen, the links where posted on J.C. Hutchins' blog:

http://charlaineharris.master.com/texis/master/search/showmsg.html?id=481c60ec16&Catid=457073b03#msg1759

Rhoswen is a fan of the author and posted casting information for an internet project related to True Blood.

From the number of characters listed I'm thinking there's a lot more to come, including "audience" video and someone dies. (I hope it's not me.)
