I'd like to make sure about something. Noriko is asking me by email in Japanese:

By the way, I heard of "Code", which was got back from Theo. Have you heard of it? I wonder what's going on with it ...
May I tell her about the baetylusdiloo/omphalabyrinth command?

I think this is an OOG topic, and I've never told her about topics of double-spying, but I know the Bacon coding was told to Ariadne first ... I might be still confused about OOG/IG.

By the way, if Ariadne went on Theo's side, she could tell them who's double spying, coundn't she? (I know she won't do that)

Theoretically (hey there we have "Theo" again Smile) up to now only two people know about the comic and the hidden code of the first CA (Khaos and Runeix). Therefore I assume they are the only persons that could have found the new command and these are the only persons that (as Double-Agents) can contact Kai, Ariadne, Noriko, ... about the new command.

Even though there is a small chance that someone found the new command by accident.

[Update] Noriko probably means the Bacon Code things on the History of Antiquity site, which is in my opinion more or less a "public" information

Omphalabyrinth math. (I was told there would be no math)

Table # 1 - Omph Strength from previous years:
1896 Athens 1.1% lowest value
1920 Antwerp 11.3% highest value

Table # 2 - Omph Strength calculation
Labyrinth needs to be a minimum of 3 stadia, and 3 circuits.
K1 + K2 + K3 ... + K27. K = (C x S)/6
C = Circuits
S = Size in Stadia
To measure circuits, start from the outside, count the paths to the center, don't count the center.

Table # 3 - Philadelphia Labyrinth Data (1920)
Listed as Node 16 on the map
5 circuit
1.85 miles from corner to corner (1.25 miles from side to side)
1.85 miles = 3 km = 3000 m
1 stadia = 185m
3000 m = 16 stadia
so K16 = 5 x 16 / 6 = 13.3

Table #4 - Minimum Labyrinth
3 circuit, 3 stadia
3 x 3 / 6 = 1.5

In 1896 they got a Omph Strength of 1.1%. 1.1 is less than 1.5
And in 1920 they got a Omph Strength of 11.3%. 11.3 is less than 13.3.
It is obvious that the Omph Strength as calculated using the (CxS)/6 forumula has to be greater than 100.
If the goal was 135, then 1896 ran the bare minimum 3 circuit, 3 stadia omphalabyrinth.
If the goal was 118, then 1920 ran only the philadelphia omphalabyrinth.

However, my guess is since Philadelphia was Node 16, and the 1920 agonothetai spent years working on the 1920 task, that Philadelphia wasn't the only omphalabyrinth.
Guess 1 = goal was 135, and 1920 was Philadelphia plus a 3 circuit, 4 stadia labyrinth (although that seems pitiful)
Guess 2 = Philadelphia was the largest, and there were 15 3 circuit, 3 stadia labyrinths, for a total strength of 13.3 + 22.5 = 35
So the goal is 310.

If the Goal is only 135, then we need to average a strength of 5 - so a 5 circuit 6 stadia labyrinth.
If the Goal is closer to 310, then we need to average 11.5 - so a 5 circuit 14 stadia labyrinth (Philadelphia sized)

The heart of the matter is that we have to be 9 times better than the 1920 crew, who spent years working on this.
If we think Jorge & Co. failed miserably - just 2 labyrinths, then we just need 27 labyrinths with 5 circuit, 6 stadia.
If we think Jorge & Co. got half the needed labyrinths, most of which were undersized, then we need 27 labryinths about the size Philadelphia.
If Jorge & Co. had multiple Philadelphia sized labyrinths, then we need 27 labyrinths that are larger than Philadelphia.

Mei finally replied after 10 YEARS (well, she said so Laughing ) and asked me if I would like to come to New York's June 7 Laby training which is impossible cause I can't swim that far! Razz

You know how I am when it comes to puzzles, so just imagine me and Mei cheering for you guys in the background with pom-poms!

I got the same type message from MeiHui today. Since I asked her about the people she practiced with, she also told me

I actually didn't have a lot of conversation with them. I think some of them seemed a bit shy or they might worry that I don't understand then. It was a bit disappointing. But I am excited about the June 7th event! Are you coming??
Alas! New York is too far for me!

Did you tell her what we know about the code? I told her I had heard about something like that, but didn't know what it meant or did.

I publicly said to Lucie (in her forum) that we discovered the instructions to do an earth omphalos with this code. So it's IG, we all can say that we found the instruction to build an earth ompahlos.

Thank you very much, Khaos! I made a thread for this topic, and cited your thread (via babelfish).

The email from Noriko wrote almost the same question.

No, I made sure that Noriko was asking about the code from the comic.

I think IG characters wanted us to make this topc IG.

Yes I did and gave her a link to Unagi's post on the IG forum. I told her that it's a command for the Omphaputer and will report back if we find out more.

I have a theory...[SPEC] TheO created the secret site. They use it to do all their calculations, integrate their research, etc. The notes that Eli Hunt found in a copy of The New Atlantis were orginally made by one of the counter-agonothetai. They just weren't very good at using the site...we were able to use it much more effectively than they, given that we have collected a whole lot more codex pages than TheO have (heck, they had to steal the one page that is in their possession!). [/SPEC]

I don't think so. The Omphaputer knows where the pieces of the Codex are currently hidden; TheO does not. We know that the pieces of the Codex have moved around since 1920 -- remember, TheO found that comic page in a former hiding place for a piece of the Codex, after it was no longer there. So TheO may know of the Omphaputer, but I don't think that TheO created it.

I do think that whoever left the notes in The New Atlantis is also whoever is behind the Omphaputer, and I also suspect that this same "whoever" also made the handwritten notation on the comic page. TheO is assuming that it was a counter-agonothetai, but TheO could be wrong about that.
