Not only same Day... it were only 20 Minutes! I think I had luck to write him short before he came online

it seems that the PMs are reading this forum frequently and have been probably inspired by the discussion between Ariock and me about labyrinth design and the confusion about transportation and blind running. They even took up the brilliant idea of a relay dreamerblue posted in the Philadelphia thread

Well, I'd be honoured if I did indeed give them the idea, but I think when they put together that Philadelphia map they would have realized the hugeness of it and thought of the relay idea. After all, the Olympic Torch Relay is still pretty recent history...

Is there actually a new proposal for a SF labyrinth?
And is there already someone announced as City Captain?
For you SF people it should be very easy to get a trackstick from Kai.

Wait, I reviewed the thread above, and Jasper clearly mentioned the relay idea when chatting with Eli Hunt, so there's no reason to assume the PMs read that thread to get the relay idea. (Kai's mentioning in Twitter that the trackstick can be passed along "like the torch," though, does make me wonder if the PMs are reading here...I think my mentioning the torch here and there has been the only time anyone has brought it up? but maybe he made the connection himself.)

This one's car-friendly, I have taken into account of the one-way direction of the streets while designing it, maybe there's errors as I don't know the area too well. Omphalabyrinth NYC
*edit - Ooops, wrong thread, sorry

I posted in Ariadne's forum, but in the interest of completeness, I am doing so here as well.
My 12-circuit labyrinth is a bust, for a few reasons, the most important being that the trackstick will not record its path when we're traveling downtown amongst tall buildings.
Therefore, I have created a new SF omphalabyrinth. It is a 9-circuit and considerably weaker in strength than the previous one, but what can you do.
It is 15.9 stadia x 9 / 6 = 23.85
Check it out.

Wow. Just this: wow. It's a pity and a shame that the 12-circuit labyrinth doesn't work (what did they have in mind when they put those buildings there?!), but this alternative is gorgeous as well. You can't get much closer to absolute perfection and symmetry I think.

Perhaps theO had operatives on SF city planning boards decades ago? It wouldn't surprise me if they claim it whether they were involved or not. It would be just like them to claim ownership to an event they had nothing to do with.

I hope the cosmetic path doesn't actually transport you to another multiworld! I really like the design!

I think that you should get bonus strength points for the high level of symmetry in that 9 circuit design. Very impressive.

Thank you, everyone, for the very nice comments!
And now I am going to unveil my next attempt. This one is an 11-circuit and, while not as prettily symmetrical as the 9-circuit, it is the best I could do in the space I had.
Ye Olde XI Circuite
I have a question about calculating the stadia for these. I was using the width to determine the stadia, but have since heard that some people are measuring from corner to corner to determine the stadia. Does anyone know which one is correct?

I asked that directly of Eli when I submitted my design to him - wondering the same thing, Pita. Unfortunately, I've had the same level of response from him as everyone else - nil.
I'll add to the nice comments by congratulating you on a fantastic, HUGE labyrinth design - brilliant!

Wowee zowee! Somewhere out there in the multiverse, a parallel self of pita is a professional labyrinth designer . Feel free to do some for other cities (*cough*Toronto*cough*) if you have time ...some of us are feeling our labyrinth-making skills are very lacking compared to yours!

Oh, wow, you are very sweet!
I must admit I am really enjoying this part of the game. I am a map editor and that may be one of the reasons why I like it so much.
I can try my hand at Toronto, though whatever I come up with would have to be fixed up by a native to make it feasible.
