I enjoyed all of the buzz before the movie opened and I was thrilled to see that the movie worked so well. They were really taking a gamble on the shooting style but it worked for me.

I have to say, however, that my favorite moment came right as the credits started to roll. Some idiot behind me yelled out "WHAT! You mean I paid good money for this!" You see, I am a nazi in the theatre. I demand quiet from the audience from trailer one to the very end of the credit roll. I am not a very big guy but I will confront any bonehead who is too loud. I mean, If you don't like a film, fine. But don't ruin the experience for others. It is common courtesy. Period.

So when this loser decided to act like an ass I stood up and let him have it (verbally of course). He was probably about 17 or 18 years old. I am 43. At one point he said "Who do you think you are? You ain't my father!" I said "You better be really thankful I'm not because if I was your father, and you acted like you did tonight, then I would beat you from one side of this theatre to the other!" Ahhh...good times, good times.

So what can we learn from this ugly, but fun event? Two things...

1. Mind your manners when you go to see a movie. People go to the theatre to watch the film...not listen to some jerk talk, or chew loudly, or text message, etc.

2. Keep an eye out for me because I will gladly correct any bad behavior at any point during the movie, for I am the MOVIE NAZI! Twisted Evil Wink

SLUSHO ZOOM!!!

By the way;

If you guys go over to youtube to check out my vids, please leave a comment if you have time. I posted the links to some of them in the "Slow ARG is Slow" thread. I value the opinions here and would love to know what y'all think. Thanks!

reagan88, i fully agree!!!

haha, the fifth and sixth times that i saw the film in theatres, i actually walked out during scenes that i knew no scrutiny could be had, to make the ushers walk in and escort people out Very Happy

i, myself, am a movie nazi. people can sit at home and make random jokes and answer their cellphones for free.

i, on the other hand, paid $9.50 to sit and enjoy a movie. i don't need up-and-coming "nick cannon"s or "dane cook"s to narrate a movie for me!

43? sheesh. you don't look a day over 30! maybe i need to move to houston. my turning-24-depression has been kicking in full throttle!

My favorite part of the movie was when they all said surprise! That was intense! Btw! Reagan88 if I see you yelling at Anyone in a movie theater while I'm around, I will knock the Nazi out of ya! Straighten up old man!

Superfuzzzz...

You will never see me "yelling" at anyone in a movie theatre. That would be a distraction to the other paying customers. When losers speak out in the theatre, I act with cat-like reflexes and dispatch said bonehead with all the stealthiness of a ninja. Very Happy

So if you do see anyone (including me) yelling in the theatre then by all means kick dey butt. As movie fans it is our moral imperative to secure order in our temple.

And that crack about me being an old man... I agree with ya brotha-man! I am old...feeling old, at least. But, in my defense, how many of you young punks (now that sounds like something an old guy would say) could do that stunt that I did? Hmmmm?

I have to go take my Geritol now. Wink

p.s. If you haven't seen my idiotic stunt yet you can see it here...

You best stay in your seat with your popcorn and pepto. I hate when they stop movies to clean the dead old Nazis off the seat in front of me.

There you go with that "old" thing again. Well I haven't seen a video of you performing amazing stunts. Ok, maybe mine wasn't amazing...how about fearless. That's it...fearless. Aren't you young kids supposed to be fearless?

Tell you what... as soon as you post a video on youtube of you doing something more fearless than what I did in my video, then I will concede the point that I am an old fart and you are too cool. And let's make this interesting. Let's put it to a vote. Let our fellow unfiction buddies decide the winner. Are you up for the challenge? Or are you chicken?

By the way...popcorn and pepto is gross. I prefer pepto with Junior Mints. Now that's good eatin'

You know, the moment I finished typing, I started thinking of ways that I could somehow implement it into my script. I really think it would be awesome.

the most favorite part of cloverfield was seeing the monster in the helecpoter scene and when Hud said, "YEAH YEAH there's the shit right there!!!" then monster pops out from the smoke it really fraked me out.

also my favorite thing was almost all of Hud's lines like, "uhhh i'll document" or "it be really scary if a flamming homeless guy comes out if nowhere!" Very Happy
