The thing is, I think it's really the cool thing right now to love metalcore (closet emo fans Laughing

) and trash nu-metal. Cause it's easy. How hard is it to hate metal with rap in it? And especially something that's as dated as nu-metal. Metalcore comes equipped with a false sense of underground cred that I think the little kids pat themselves on the back about a little too much. One day they'll figure out it's a lot more fun to like ANYTHING YOU WANT TO and not have to take sides. I was just listening to this band last night who I KNOW FOR SURE suck. They're lyrics are completely cheese, singer has that dumb sounding Hetfield-like swagger, and so forth, but for some reason i like it. And that was almost (I really don't wanna sound arrogant here) liberating to think it over and say "No, I like this anyways, and I don't have to figure out why or explain myself to anyone".

And there are SO many good bands that came outa that nu metal era, most of which were improperly labelled, as a lot of 'em were closer to alt. metal (as i call it). Not gonna get into a big list, but bands like 40 Below Summer, Ill Nino, Skrape, Sevendust, they all have a lot of really great stuff. Some not so great in their later shit, but I'm not gonna shun them for that.

And Slipknot has 9 guys, let's just clear that up. Not 13.

this is what i do in my spare time. get on the computer.
usually im working on my fourwheeler.
and there is plenty to do with firewalls.
i have school.
we screw aorund there.

Ya, the work firewall is brutal. I've only found one proxy that gets through it and it's pretty weak. Best I can do is view some blocked pages, but i can't enter any info or listen/watch anything. lame.

And I'm COMPLETELY done fighting with skatehimrock. We're all in here checking out the same nerdy stuff so lets not attack each other for it. Makes no sense.
