Suggestions

I wonder if we shouldn't require a person to be logged in before they post. Let everyone read as Guest, but make sure there is a nick associated with every post. As the topic says, this is just a suggestion.

As long as it isn't abused, I'm happy with the setup as is. Those who wish to post without registering can choose at post time to enter a nickname if they want to.

I would point out, however, that a huge benefit to registering is that the board will tell you which posts are new since your last visit, which you can't see if browsing as a guest.

I'd love to register...

But the function isn't working for me. I tried, and the activation email never came. So I try to login in without it, and it says I haven't been activated yet. So I try to have a second email sent through the "I Forgot my Password" function, but again it refuses to do so because my account is not active. I tried to re-register under the same name, but my name is in use.

Finally, I tried to register under a different name and addy, and again the activation email has not come.

Lather, rinse, repeat...

PS- and now it won't let me use my name on a guest post, because my username has already been taken (by me).

D'ohh! Sorry, man...for some reason the email activation thing has been dropping out about 3% of the time. I've activated your account...let me know if you have any more trouble.

Funny exclusion

HUMMM, odd how that 3% happens to include muda. Almost like a plot or something. Not that there is anything wrong with that. Just funny, but not in a "ha ha" kind of way.

Wink

Good job SB
