Purpose of Fringe

Wouldn't it be a shock if Fringe turned out to be one massive viral marketing campaign for Cloverfield 2 involving secret government testing of Slusho's secret ingredient?

Of course, I don't believe that will happen, especially with Lost about to enter its last season (JJ has to keep something on the air), but it would be a nice wtf moment if the season finale involve the main character arriving to New York just as the monster attacks. I can just imagine the power going out and someone going, "just when you thought things couldn't get any weirder" then they show a tv screen and there's Clover. lol Then season two takes place in a post attack world and they learn Japan is also up to something.

I don't mean any disrespect to the OP!!!! I just think this post represents the fact that this whole viral marketing campaign went to straight to the shithouse.
The entire Cloverfield viral campaign was like a wet dream that ended at the beginning!
No wonder game-jackers are more successfull at keeping us interested!

Fringe isn't going to be related to Cloverfield.
