Just for all of you who can't go: unless we get some kind of livecam/livecast thing going on Thursday, I'm going to be keeping my Twitter up-to-date as close to a live telling as possible. Just so you know to follow me on Twitter on Thursday at 18h30 our time.

18h30?

Is that 6:30?
If so, AM or PM?

New question, spawned by Shad0's post:
"Is Markus ACTUALLY working with you? As in was his escape faked?"

Shocked ugh..."corrected"? That sounds...ugly. And creepy.

Re: "Mistakes get corrected"

Now that we know more of James's story, I'm thinking that "Mistakes get corrected" refers to the fact that the "wrong" agonothetai went home in 2004 (instead of Renata)... and that James now believes that he can follow her in 2008 if we get the Omph Strength high enough.

It seems like only the participants of the "James event" know more. I still do not know what happened or what James's story is about. Or did I missed something?

Whoops. I'd assumed that everyone had seen the video by now. My apologies. Quick and dirty bullet points:

  • James met the 2004 agonothetai four years ago, including Renata and the scar-faced Asian man (whose name escapes me).
  • James fell in love with one of the agonothetai (whose name also escapes me).
  • According to Eli Hunt, the agonothetai were supposed to send one of their own home from Athens. It was supposed to be Renata, but at the last moment James's love begged to go instead.
  • Scarface -- the 2004 Thumos -- joined TheO, and recruited Renata and James, who were very unhappy with the way things went.
  • When James walked his personal labyrinth yesterday, he saw a vision of his love telling him that if we get the Omph Strength high enough, he can travel to join her in August. As a result of his vision, James is willing to help us. He remains a member of TheO, though.
  • TheO's motivation: If we successfully desynchronize this world from all of the others, then when the Rapid Continental Change hits in August it will destroy our world only, saving all of the others that are no longer synchronized with us. We will thus be sacrificing ourselves to save the rest of the multiverse.

Yeah. You wish, TheO.
Thanks for enlightening us, waiting for the more detailed news about the successful SF mission felt a bit like Christmas, actually ...

Did James shed any light on the mysterious term "diloo", by the way? (I'm still in love with my Delos theory, you see. Embarassed )

Well seeing as I'm importing it now as I type, it would be kind of difficult for that to be the case Razz

And Scarface is Noriko's brother, right? Anyone else foresee a family reunion (perhaps with reconciliation and the changed heart of the brother, perhaps with no reconciliation and having to give bad consequences to the brother)?

What I would ask the people who asked James:

What is the deal with one person from their team of six being supposed to go? Not all of them were supposed to get to go home?

Also, is James a multiversal traveler, or did he start out here and happen to meet and fall in love with one? Confused

In the next olympiad, can we expect a team to show up with the aim of desynchronization and sacrifice, and then the remnants of us will send them spooky messages and oppose their goal?

The Omph Strength was too low for more than one person to go.

Interesting! At least TheO is not bad in General.
He just follows the famous quote:
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one."
