It's weird. I know the chances of it actually being an ARG are very slim, but I'm also familiar with this site... I headed over there to find out news about RE5, and well, I found that camera page. All of the other parts of the site, the Umbrella Chronicles downloads, the message board links, the trailers, it's all gone and replaced with that camera. Seems pretty extreme to me to shut down the whole site just to add a countdown to a trailer.
Maybe it's just viral marketing for the trailer, to make you keep coming back and boost interest. But I felt compelled to link this because of the possibility that it might turn into an ARG (which I'm desperately hoping it will). I'm hoping I didn't break any rule or something stating that it has to be a confirmed ARG to post it. Did I?

I'm just checking but... does anyone else catch the irony in capcom having a viral campaign for a resident evil game?

I don't know if anyone has noticed this, but every time "someone" picks up the camera for a moment, when they drop it, it moves further down that dirt street. The other day when I found this the hut that is now on the left was further away and on the right. "We" appear to be moving closer to something.

Just thought I'd mention that this wouldn't be Capcom's first ARG tied to games starting with trailers. If you guys remember Lost Planet had flashes of website urls in the three trailers that were released. I followed that ARG for almost all of it, but when I left months had gone by without any activity in the game. Hopefully Capcom won't abandon this one, if it turns out to be an ARG.

RE and MGS are two games I am desperately waiting to be made into ARGs. If this happens, you'll all be seeing a lot of me.

Well, it would appear that the GameTrailers version of the new RE5 trailer didn't have anything on first glance. Could be an alternate version posted on the RE site though... Game looks amazing either way. Very similar to RE4.
