[CITY LABYRINTH] MELBOURNE

now that melbourne is a known city heres my labyrinth for it.

I'll post it on the IG forum under a different name so that TheO cannot discover me, and will inform Kia/ Ariadne of my true name in a pm.

Matt. AKA Runeix. AKA Addonis

Melbourne 1 my own design. 800m x 500m

melbourne 2 a more classics design. 500m x 200m

i have posted on ur forum and sent a copy of this message to kia via pm.

as you may know. i am working as a double agent for TheO,
We are very close to finding out more of their goals (unlike the answers forced out of James lol)
so that my status is not comprimised my city labyriths have been posts under the name of Addonis.

And yes i am the same Runeix who recoved themelbourne Artifact.

you can get them from on google as well, if you search for melboune city labyriths.

my details for the trackstick are

***** elgar road
**** Su**** ***lls
Vic
Australia.

this should allow me to compleate the mission as one of the bery few known melbourne players.
i am trying to enlist more people from school and other places to help to.

Matt, Aka Runeix, Aka Addonis

I wonder, might it be possible to construct a more symmetric design in Melbourne, that takes full advantage of the grid layout of the cbd? 2 hour met tickets are cheap, and there are lots of trams through the city.

heres a third one. uses all of the CDB, could be walking in a few hours or driven.
(if driven the green bit is on way and would need walking.)

I like the symmetric design of Lab #3, but be carful to have the end point in the center of the labyrinth. Actually your labyrinth starts and ends outside.

I have had messages back from both Kai and Eli , heres what they said.

Eli.

Dear Runeix,

Excellent work keeping your double agent status uncompromised.

Do not be discouraged, but according to my reserach the labyrinth
designs you have submitted so far do no match the design requirements
for a city omphalabyrinth.

Your center should be more in the center of the labyrinth, in these
designs it is essentially on the outside of the labyrinth!

Also, the circuit design is not quite right -- your circuits should
move from the inside to the outside, not
inside/outside/inside/outside.

I encourage you to work with other agonothetai in other cities to
solve the puzzle of mapping labyrinths onto Melbourne! I am certain
you will discover an excellent design soon.

Also, please remember to send me your calculated omphalabyrinth
strength when you submit a new design.

Sincerely yours,

Eli Hunt

Kai

P.S. Hey Runeix! In case it wasn't clear, my previous email, I wanted to pass on Eli's comments on your labyrinth designs! Looks like adjustments are still needed. Send another design when you can! Kai

so yeah please if you have time try to work out a new design for melboune. i'm going to do a trail today to see which building effect it using design #1.

How about this? Tell me if you think it's too long, I could try to narrow it down a bit more ...

thank yuo so much, thats very impressive. but as none of my friends currectly playing have a lincince i will have to try and rope my parents or some of my older friends into helping.

I'll do a omph strengh calculation l8er and ask eli about it.

my only concern is that the trackstick didnt keep up very well with the test that i did today. (i'll post the file up when i get the laptop back off my brother.) I'm hoping that driving down the misddle of the road should fix this rather than waling mainly on covered sidewalks

Edit:It should easily be adaptable for walking some of the garden and one-way road bits, or hopfully i might be able to build an electric bike in the next few weeks

Edit: here are the results of my trackstick test.
i might try and do a small one in a park tonite if i cant sleep

Edit:well here are the results of my small scale trackstick test at 1:30am my time.
as you can see one loss of singnal can mess the whole this up. but then i was doing this in the dark with a google map and onyl my eye and paces for angles and distance. well im off to design another small labyrinth and test it.

Here's a little one: 5 circuits with a strength of 6.33 in the space you used for your first map. I ignored traffic flow thinking only about drawing something you could walk.
