Decoding Other Symbol Set

Has anyone had any luck decoding the remaining symbol set (including the "dog" symbol or the "hook" [found all over, but for instance, on the combo lock puzzle top row spot 5, and second row spot 4 respectively])? I realize there's not the same "rosetta stone" of Pascal, or cryptex, or the initial numerical pyramid, but they're so prevalent they are likely going to play a role.

For lack of any other proof, I'm calling them numbers. They are a sequential set found on the quest pyramid (the home page where your puzzle progress is logged).

extra symbols

Ah, thanks, that seems right. There are STILL some symbols left unaccounted for on the combo lock problem (one is a "Z" shape, another is like a large "N" with an additional vertical line in the center [ltr])...AND, on that same puzzle, some of the symbols are rotated from their typical orientation...just an observation...then finally, on the two wheel puzzle are a bunch of new symbols, but on the small sections, there is a repeating word/phrase...by my decoding it's T****VE...but the only single word that fits that is THEY'VE (counting the apostrophe) so I doubt it's meaningful. And finally, on that same puzzle, when solved, a variety of characters glow for a moment before the screen transitions away...but most are new characters.

Timer

Did the timer change? I thought it was going to end at 8 AM tomorrow, but now it looks like 1:01 AM ... which makes sleep tonight unlikely.

BTW, there is a site dedicated to armchair treasure hunting called TWELEVE.org (which would fit the pattern above). They do have a thread about the Triangle Mystery there, too.

But any of the words that's been suggested here for T****VE (tweleve included) requires there to be 2 different symbols for E.

Summary? Plus, WHERE IS NUMBER CODE?????

Hi guys!

I am late, I know. Soor-reee!!! I just found this game last week. I've been playing catch up. What I am trying to do now is organize. So I finally figured out the Triangle thread here is aka Doritos Quest....heh. I missed the pre-launch. So I have also been over at Promethius' site....trying to figure out what the heck I missed, as I first did the puzzles the hard way--on my own--knowing I had time until the third round. What did I figure out? Much of the same things you all did...the Pascal alphabet, the chip bag code on the front, the "colored flag" Pascal variation on the back, and the colored circles key. I'm graphically oriented, so I make up drawings as I go along for quick reference. I will post a few here. But first, for the LIFE of me, I can't find the posts here that talk about the numbered code found in the pre-game. Y'all refer to using them, but I don't see where there is the actual find posted! Can anyone share this info? Not everyone playing Doritos even knows about the Triangle pre-game.

Now for the first graphic.....this makes it really easy to see the code on the chip bag front for anyone at the point of trying to figure it out. I hope it might help someone....

Sassy

PS: Triangulating these cities on Google Earth is a trip, since your lines get curved due to the shape of the earth. However, it is a very interesting project if you chose to give it a try. The center point is different than if you try this on a flat map....which only adds to the confusion, I know.

Another graphic to stimulate thought..

Here is another graphic....I have several working theories on this. I thought I would post the basic worksheet I am using in case any of you want to use it.

I'm pretty sure these colored circles are just used for the printing process. I've checked other chip bags and most of them have the colored circles on the bottom.

However, I'm not sure that there's "XYZ" on the other bags, so possibly they do intend to use this for some kind of code.

Good to have just in case, but my guess would be that we probably won't use it
