That's all very cool stuff. I am a little disappointed that they didn't make a comment regarding the falling object from the final scene at Coney Island, especially given the early discussion of the ChimpanzIII satellite.
I think I still like "Mr. GrumpyPants" better than "Large Scale Aggressor", though.

oh come on! it's the milatary's way of naming the monster, like the milatary is going to say, "look we dont what to use on...'Mr.Grumpy Pants'?" I think some members on this board can call whatever the hell they want but (at least me) I will be calling the monster either Clover or LSA(large scale agressor)

Eh, I won't go calling him LSA just cause the government thinks they're fancy using big words and acronyms. I'm, sticking to Clover and Marx. I always liked the name Marx.

The bridge was later enhanced to withstand 49,200 tons of pressure, suggesting that LSA's tail exerted a far greater force.
LSA's foot has been estimated at 35-40 feet in length - roughly the size of a New York transit bus.
This escaped horse was merely fortunate; other amateur video footage (see file #US6X-8819-C105) shows Large Scale Aggressor (LSA) consuming several horses at once
The Large Scale Aggressor (LSA) is estimated to stand between 240 and 300 feet tall in it quadruped pose, and possibly up to 1,200 feet in length, from head to tail. Its weight is estimated at 5806.04 metric tons.
This footage shows LSA leaping up to approx. 560 feet
Other reports indicate that LSA's horizontal reach, arms outstretched from side to side, may measure as much as 740 feet in width.
The Department has hypothesized that LSA's head is 45 feet high and 50 feet deep, it's mouth up to 15 feet wide and 35 feet high, and it's largest teeth 5 feet in length

Very interesting facts! I wish I had an HDTV for blu-ray.
And the new monster codename LSA... Lisa?

Has anyone found anything on "earthworm" facilities under New York? It does answer how the military could make entry while everyone else was making exit, since they would already be there just beneath the city, hiding.
doesn't sound real, and if it was there since 2002 for response to terrorist attacks, wouldn't somebody have spilled the beans by now?

yeah that seems quite sketchy to me, I dont if anyone else finds that interesting then maybe the U.S. government and army might know something about potential monster attacks...look at Japan in the manga with thier anti-monster defense but if look at this "earthworm" thing maybe it could be a cover for something much more secretive

Anyway, I went out and bought the Blu-Ray DVD (Which looks fantastic) and I can't believe they didn't include the Special Investigation Mode on the regular DVD. Damn you Goddard, you greedy, greedy bastard!

Even though I already had the regular DVD edition of Cloverfield, I had to buy the Blu-Ray version... Boy am I glad I did...
The special investigation stuff is just awesome.
I especially like the part where Rob, Jason and Hud were outside of Rob's room on the little balcony thing and all of a sudden you see a little red dot pop up for the LSA Update, that was awesome. I just kind of remember thinking, oh shit... here we go.

Does a Blu-Ray disc play on a regular DVD player but not look as good, I'm am I forced to go down to Circuit City tomorrow?
Edit: I also wonder, with all these references to "see files" ect, I wonder if the case will be the online viral story leading up to #2.

Ha, awesome stuff.
However, the whole "other footage shows horses being consumed" thing is lame, considering that tells me that they are planning to go with the other footage for Cloverfield 2.

Why are all the file references "US6X" instead of the previously used "USGX"?
Is that a typo on your part?
All of this is text on the screen, right? Was the grammatically incorrect "sons's" also their original work?
I think you ought to bold the mention of Teddy as being believed to be on the Chuai station at the time of it's destruction. One thing this has done is secure the timing of those events relative to the NYC attack - no more suggesting they relate otherwise.
We also have a good potential basis for Cloverfield 2, as it's apparent there is a serious investigation of Tagruato and Ganu Yoshida underway. I find it interesting that the Japanese authorities are also seeking him, considering Japan would normally be protective of it's own 'native sons'.
It says US6X. It may be a typo though on there part.

Another question: Since Jamie Lascano is named as being in the film, is her character now cited in the credits for either the film or the extras? It should say Jaime Harlan, as that's who we basically discovered it to be - but I'd love to have hard and fast official confirmation.
If they really meant US6X, it is another use of the infamous 6 and we are off to see if there's another site out there...
Are there easter eggs on Blu-Ray discs? Has anyone looked for one on this one?
