I'm just making a little mental list of ARG elements that this DVD made reference to:

- Jamie and Teddy
- Tagruato and its non-Slusho! subsidaries
- Slusho!
- Chuai videos
- TIDO Wave
- Some backgound information from MySpace pages

everything seemed quite accurate.

What I did notice, however, is absence of references to perhaps the most integral part to any investigation into CLOVERFIELD, and the is the 'Whistle Blower' - He or She was onto it before anyone else, and the military seemed to 'miss': "There's no oil here", the sonar images, the financial statements and stuff about the mysterious death of the Tagruato employee...

This makes me wonder whether or not 'The Whistle Blower' spells hoax, or if there is more to be found...

Given that most of this information is from ARG sites and is very accurate, I also wonder if there was other ARG sites, with this information, that we missed.

Please discuss

For the Whistleblower to have been a hoax, it would have to have been one of the most amazing ones ever perpetrated. Seems we had some very tenured members of the forum receive the notes, and if they and total strangers participated in the hoax that'd be an amazingly well coordinated effort. If they were not the source of such a hoax, then someone who works at the vendor contracted to make and/or ship the Slusho products perpetrated the hoax, also an impressive one to have pulled off. Seems to me though that something we got from those led us to something official, so it's hard to say how that could be a hoax.

I don't know about you guys, but I really want some footage to pop up entitled "#US6X-8819-C105" in which we stumble upon Clover eating horses. Man, how awesome would that be?

There is mention of "no oil" at Chuai.

Special Investigation wrote:
T.I.D.O. Wave denies responsibility for the Chuai attack, but alleges that the station was not, in fact, drilling for oil. Further information has not surfaced, and Hanssen and JLASCANO are both currently missing and presumed dead.

This is something that first appeared in the correspondence from The Whistle Blower. I'm not sure if T.I.D.O.'s site has this statement on it or not. If not then this is definitely pointing to TWB to be in-game. Otherwise, it is still obviously IG and shouldn't be doubted.

Sadly i think that will be in Cloverfield 2...if we even get one. And i think we know where SBN came from now because if it was in the parasites blood it must of been eaten by them so it could of been on Clovers back. Also i think we have a reason why Clover "dissolved" in the Manga, i think when Clover came out of the ocean the SBN couldnt stay on his body so the parasites started to feed on his skin and when he re'entered the water the parasites spit had a reaction with the water and caused him to dissolve. And i noticed something weird Robs moms name is "Mrs."
Hawkins so that means shes married, but after telling so many none/semi important peoples names and occupations they left out Robs dad. So that either means hes dead or he has split from his wife and just didnt get a divorce... i dont really know.

The notes were really fascinating. Here's the things that really popped out in my head.

1) Parasite blood has SBN. More reason to think Clover excretes/contains the stuff. Unless of course the parasites ARE the source. SBN = Parasite poop?

2) Underground military base? Ok, that's a bit cheap, but it at least is an attempt to explain the quick military response without saying they knew Clover was coming.

3) Count me as one of the ones who thought the tanker was the explosion. So, what the ---- blew up?

4) I posted on another forum way back when that I thought Clover was chewing on the SOL head and got mad and threw it. Yay me!

5) If water causes a reaction to the venom, wouldn't bodily fluids like blood and lymph do the same thing? We're mostly water anyway.

6) Picking on Rob for missing his estimate after surviving a monster attack? Take your 5 hours and 57 minutes and stick it Wink

And 7) I WANNA SEE CLOVER MUNCHING HORSES, DURNIT!

this is to your #5: they said that there is a chance that its not venom but a form of "spit" which is liquid from the body so i dont think water from a humans body can cause the reaction... but maybe its like this if you add parasites spit to water there is no reaction but if you add water to parasite spit there is a reaction.

and to your #3: i think he shoots fireballs

your number #1: there is no way to be 100% sure about this because what you eat can be detected in your blood and your "poop" but it could be just a part of their DNA. many possiblities

Maybe they didn't talk to Mr. "John Doe" Hawkins, and didn't mention him because of that.

What I'm most curious about is this:
The Enchanted One wrote:
This woman, Jamie Lascano (JLASCANO), 26, is rumored to have consumed Seabed's Nectar in its pure form a few hours before this footage was shot, after allegedly receiving a sample of the substance from Theodore "Teddy" Hanssen.

We know this because of www.jamieandteddy.com. How does the SIU (Special Investigation Unit) know Jamie is rumored to have ingested the SBN. Is the "sword logo" the insignia of the SIU? If so, are they using it to mark the sites they're investigating? They didn't mention the site or any of the videos posted on it. The SIU seems to have spoken to someone within T.I.D.O. Wave. Randy perhaps? He was supposedly the only other person who knew about the package and it's origins.

About the water reacting to the venom or saliva of the parasites...

Keep in mind they came out of the ocean. Salt water. Guess what has a salinity (salt content) that's about the same as seawater? That's right, blood. The stronger reaction may have something to do with a lack of salinity in the water used to treat the wounds. There is also an assumption that these parasites have watery saliva like humans and mammals in general do. If you notice, reptiles and other creatures don't have much if any watery saliva in their mouths. I'm not sure most insects would at all. Those parasites look closer to insects or crustaceans (which are pretty much aquatic insects).

Based on the other government files we've seen, they do in fact know about Jamies videos, as they appear on the DVD, and the Blu-Ray disc.

The Whistleblower is 100% ingame. Both Dennis and I got the "no oil here" memo sent by email. Mine was in response to an email to Tagruato(18KagashimaDSPLATtagruato.jp) via Slusho site. My original email was quoted in their email which no one but Tagruato would have received:
Sign me up if you need help.

A big THANK YOU to the makers of your "product". It's been a fun couple of months!!!!!!

Red Walrus

Still haven't figured out what the pseunmoisuf title of the file means yet.

Guess I should've watched everything on the disc (doh!).
