It's possible he just cracked the Vigenere or that he found out that the building was the League of Nations which is located in Geneva. Or he's just psychic.

Anyway, the decode (after you substitute in the missing letters) is:

Quote:
you may be asked soon to sit at the table to carve up the world so be ready nathan

Here is the completed puzzle, substituting the missing letters and rowans's image (an exact match BTW!)

From that cluage, I would guess that Eliza & Erik know he's finished, and it'll probably include a join us or else. Should we warn him?

Hmm, I disagree that he's finished - he's the only one that's made any headway and they'll milk him for what he's worth. It would be easier to kill him at this point, anyway.

Regardless, someone's already told Nate.

Carve up the world, while a direct nod to WW2, could also be a reference to destroying his perceptions of the world as he knows it. Always hard to say with RK, he's more than a bit cryptic.

I guess I should have clarified. What I meant to say:

Erik knows from his spy cameras that Nathan has blogged to us with his cam that he's finished the code. We saw this in the security feed that was "hacked" into.

Assuming Erik reviews his tapes, one would guess he heard what Nathan said. Eliza has also been watching him, pushing him to do his job (also mentioned on Nathan's blog).

I was guessing that both Erik & Eliza would approach him and see if they can get their hands on that code. The "join our evil league or else" approach.

I'm wondering since the picture is the League of nations if the letters stand for different countries, perhaps those initially interested in the LoN, or those who could be affected or interested in the the holography project. Or perhaps, they are initials that point to people...

The letters make up the vig code as solved on the first (or second?) post on this page.

To expound on what mousekinn said above: If you take the letters in order as seen above in the image, plug them into a Vigenere cracker and put in "Geneva" as the keyword, you get the "you may be asked soon to sit at the table to carve up the world so be ready nathan" line. Geneva came from the fact that the picture the letters are placed on is the League of Nations building. The League of Nations is headquartered in(you guessed it) Geneva, Switzerland.

ETA: Regurgitated a lot of what Rowan said above

Sorry.

Was called away on an emergency.

I'm very fond of Kender's Vigenere Guesser for playing around with Vig ciphers.

For this one, I just plugged in "AA" for any missing pics and let it guess. And then went from there.

Good job filling in the blanks, Rowan.

[EMAIL] To/From Nate regarding picture puzzle solve

So after the picture puzzle was solved, I emailed Nate to let him know:

FanGrrlC wrote:

Hey Nate,

The group started receiving emails from RK yesterday, with pictures attached - the pictures formed a larger picture of the building the League of Nations occupied in Geneva between 1920-1936, and were named with 2-3 letter names. After putting the pictures in order and stringing the file names together, a Viginere cypher was revealed. Using the key "geneva", the following message was revealed:
" you may be asked soon to sit at the table to carve up the world so be ready nathan"

So.. not sure what to make of this - perhaps RK know you have the fix?

He replies:

Hey Celina,

I just kind of assumed that RK knows everything that we know. In fact, I wonder if one of you isn't RK in disguise... paranoia much?

Yours in intrigue,
Nate

The cameras have made him paranoid!

Thanks for the response, Rogi. That's a good tool to have handy.

Am I the only one feeling the abrupt stop of momentum from Nathan's reply? Paranoid, sure I get that. But he could pretend to take notice of the message that was cracked.

I wonder if the mail guy might have seen a couple of memos and decided to give Nathan a clue. Hrm.

Thank the people in chat for parsing what I gave them quicker than I could do it at work. I was just the designated poster.
