A little source searching on that earthwormproject.com site and you find the images used are served from http://www.thefloor13.com/ which is a site for some rap/hip-hop group from the DC area. The band members names are in the title of the earthwormproject.com page title.

So, OOG it is. Sorry.

I know that this has been beaten to death, but why didn't they mention Lily?

That's actually a really good question. They point out the exact parasite that was later examined, but when shown close-ups of her they give nothing to say whether she's alive or dead.
Obviously it's just to drive us up a frickin wall, but still.

The correct term is "batshit insane". Wink
Twisted Evil

Oh i know...i think i've used that as a reference to you more than once. Just wanted to try something new Smile

0045 hours (12:45 am). The New York City power grid was off line for 7 seconds upon Large Scale Aggressor(LSA)'s initial arrival in the area.

Just curious, anyone know what could cause a power grid to go off line?

If there is a massive enough short or similar disruption in the major segments of the power grid, it will automatically shut parts of itself down to avoid load issues that arise from such faults. It's basically like a larger version of the circuit breakers you see on power poles every so often (people mistake them for transformers, although they are similar in appearance they don't perform the same function). In modern power grid systems, it's important that they also turn the segments back on as soon as possible, because they will have a secondary load issue if they don't - something they basically learned from the last major blackout in the northeast.

Looking for other information in the original post of the notations, I ran across something I hadn't noticed before - a joke.

Surprisingly, a neighboring tower, US-438 ("1 Central Park West"), once known as the "Gulf and Western/Paramount Building," was not damaged by LSA.

MGP at least knows not to hurt his own. Laughing

Nice catch Euchre Brownie, I originally read that as just a reference to the building Beth's was leaning against. Smile

It has been suggested that LSA was trying to consume the statue and threw the head after discovering that it was inedible.

This doesn't make any sense. Perhaps the people suggesting this didn't see Hud's footage, which clearly shows an object fly up, crash into the statue, and knock the head off. It also shows the monster moving past the Woolworth building right before it collapses, which is just seconds after the Liberty head hits the street. Which means the monster wasn't anywhere near the statue when it lost its head, and that it either threw or otherwise caused the object to fly up and smack the statue.

I don't have the Blu-ray, so maybe someone who owns it can tell me where the dot representing the monster on the map is when the statue loses its head.

We're talking about Cloverfield. I dunno what the hell you're talking about, but it's certainly not the same movie. Fail.
