Don't think there's a logo, and Aporia Agathon Project is just the name they're using until the game launches. At that time it will be called something else.

Hi, I've been lurking around through this thing, but am hoping to participate more actively once things start up.

Glad to see the wiki is up, I'll try to add some info as needed. Never used a Wikidot wiki before, but I've got plenty of experience with other ones like MediaWiki so it should be pretty simple.

prolly, but there will always be a part of my brain saying "They just want to surprise us... something about the whole, 'they might not be sure what its from' thing they mentioned in the interview" so I'll still probably run home to check the mail everyday...

Or they can launch it and pretend that they didn't, catching all of us off guard. Wink

I'm curious to see what they have in store. By the rumblings I've heard, seems like they got big plans for us.

Of Course if they are somewhat evil they could pretend to launch something when they didnt, catching us all off gaurd.

All the PM has really told us in chat is that they'll be launching some time between now and August. That's the best timeframe we have.

Damn, August? I thought the beginning of summer was what we were waiting for. Here's hoping for more pre-launch materials soon then, I'm already starting to forget everything we do know so far.

Well the PM's want it to be a surprise when it launches. They want some people to not even know what the envelopes are for/from. (They said, I believe, that they are doing a launch in the mail.)

Some spec: It doesn't make sense for them to say it's going to start between now and August if it's going to start in August, because by then we'll be expecting it. Personally I believe it will start the last week of June or the first week in July.

For more info check the wiki in my signature, there is also a link to a chat we had with one of the PM's there on the front page saying some of this.

Well posting this here since Jason pointed me to this new post:
http://news.aporiacme.com

And I'm putting in a quote of that news since it asks people to contact him if you are going to ARGfest and want to have lunch with some of the staff of app:
Quote:
We have, also, determined which of our staff will be available during ARGfest and are looking forward to a lunch on Sunday the 20th. If you're coming to ARGfest and would be interested in attending lunch with the staff, feel free to contact me through our contact link and let me know so that I can make sure everyone is accommodated (please let me know before Friday the 18th).

It's http://surryinvestigations.com/

I'm guessing we get to find out what sort of "powers" (lycanthropy/vampirisim/spells?) these people have now.

Looks like the contact us form doesn't work in FF3, but it does in IE7...could just be my setup though.

Brief summary of potentially pertinent points from the updates (dontcha just love alliteration?)

Isobella and her friend, Sarah, were followed by a private investigator at the park. The private investigator, Michael Surry, claimed Sarah had a MySpace account and messaged him. SOMETHING happened to him at this point, that messed with his memory. Out of that "something", Isobella and Sarah got his wallet.

The contents lead to Surry Investigations, where we learn more about the investigator. He was a police officer until about six years ago, when SOMETHING happened. Something bad enough he considers it a "sin". Something that may have caused him to turn over a new leaf, considering he's been a recovering alcoholic for 1888 days as of March, which would be May 1st, 2003. He and his ex-wife Patricia got divorced the same day. He has a son.

During the course of his investigations, he befriended a hacker who goes by the nickname "Novak". In the course of his investigations, Surry tends to go to extremes to prove the dangers of internet use to parents and children, and has taken it as a personal campaign of sorts. He even sent out a mass mailing on internet safety. (Mass mailing, you say?) His company, however, engages in a variety of investigations. Parents, for instance, can hire him to keep an eye on their kids to suss out suspicious behavior to keep them safe.

Oh, and he's hosted by Eyegasm Design.
