Bottom line for me is that Fox promoted the Holomove site, Nate's blog, and pointed to us after making mention of the 38,573,000 civilians that died. Why would they mention it if they weren't involved? Where's the payout? It might still be someone else, but could JJA and Whedon both be involved in Fringe?

The same argument can be made for it being a Microsoft project because a couple of MS insiders posted to Nate's blog or made mention of him/his blog in *their* sites.
IMO, these are all merely to give the ARG some "real world cred" for lack of a better term.

Yeah - check that fox blog post. In it's labels, it links to Dollhouse, Fringe, and a couple of other new shows. Could be a redherring, could be something solid, we won't know until the end.
And personally I"m grateful. It's nice playing a game that currently has no relation to any one particular product / service / brand. It's a game for games sake at the moment, and I'm
loving
liking it alot.

Touche. I vaguely remember a mentioning of M$ but not enough to have remembered that.

Going back and looking, you're right. Somehow I missed all the tags except the one for Fringe. So I guess my new answer to "who's running this thing" would probably be, "People, with computers and internet access."

The job application questions on Holomove were pretty specific about being familiar and favorable/unfavorable outlook for some software (including some MS apps).

Since there already appears to be a Dollhouse ARG, it's probably not Whedon. There are some weak connections to Fringe, but what about this show...
Virtuality
Quote:
The sci-fi project, to be directed by Peter Berg, is set aboard the Phaeton, Earth's first starship, on a 10-year journey to explore a distant solar system. To help the crew endure the long trip, NASA equips the ship with advanced virtual reality modules, allowing them to assume adventurous identities and go anyplace they want.
Pretty strong connection if you ask me. Like Gough could be the father of this technology like that one guy in the 4400.

Holomove
In collaboration with Visual Studio, Microsoft has created the ultimate challenge that tells the story of Nathan Bozeman who gets the chance to change the world, but at an extraordinary price. Since the immersive game began in May 2008, it has captivated players around the world. Find out what's happened so far and join the adventure—there's still time to get involved.
Love they point back to *US* to "Find out what's happened so far"!
So it is all about Visual Studio afterall.

MSDN Subscription for most coder-licious user name Awesome! I think there should be prizes involved. I would like an MSDN Premium subscription. We should award it to a random user who has the most visual studio related name... like someone with "coder" in their name....
Seriously though, to the Microsoft PMs... MSDN subscriptions make great presents....
