It doesn't look like a cipher of any sort to me.

It looks more like an address. (Don't quote me on any of this, by the way. I'm not exactly fluent in PHP, but I have a basic understanding of how it works. I'm sitting on about 8 years of web and graphics designing experience)

I believe PHP uses hex to encrypt certain information. However, when this address is transleted into the natural ACSII form, all I get is:

ãǥ¡åȡᥣä¡æ¥áéæÃá

I'm just letting ya'll know, that personally, it doesn't look like any encrypted message to me, just a fraction of an address. If any of you have an idea as to what it may go to, let me know.

I am NOT in any way, trying to convince you not to continue trying to translate it, I'm just putting my two cents worth in.

EDIT: I see where you get the WEP encryption theory, but it's neither a 64 nor 128 bit encryption.

Valentine--actually,point well taken. That was what it first appeared like to me also. However I thought all URL identifyers must end with "=". Is that not the case--very interested and THX.

Thank You amandel for that link about the WEP.

I tried downloading some WEP tools that i found but it doesnt work or I don't know how to make them work (most likely the second lol). But I don't really understand the how this all works anyway, so I think I will wait to see if someone already had it or know how to work with it. And I tried looking on youtube but thats dont work either. On this one I'm really stumped.

Well, Makyla, WEP encryptions are normally used to secure WiFi connections, and cracking them is serious business. It's not impossible to find cracking software, but I can promise you'll have a hard time accomplishing it.

If this is, in fact, a WEP encryption, it is BY FAR the longest I have ever seen. Which means it'll have to be broken up (if possible) into either 64 or 128 bit pieces.

I guess they made a small profile for Richard last night, unless I just missed it, but he is the organization's "solutions manager".

A solutions manager that creates problems. Neat.

Xd@Natas and yaha I mentioned that absurdly long string length also. Don't think 40 characters can be broken up which is what discouraged me,makyla, from attempting a d/l. Cool that you did and do also believe this may ultimately lead to youtube.

You can pretty much type any random characters after the "="
and it will take you to the same spot.

I was noticing a pattern of letter number, letter number, letter number. Is there possibly a grid somewhere that this is giving the coordinates to? So far the puzzles have been very basic and I think we may be overthinking

Inputting the letters/numbers into a grid didn't work for me too well. Someone else might give it a shot.

Someone suggested that it might be part of a code, that maybe there was more to come - I just got the same code via Facebook so I'm not sure that's the case.
