1 last letter

last letter before the @ could be 3 letters if i'm right. Any reason why I couldn't send all 3 combinations the email? also, how long did it take for your name to show up on the rankings?

Game ranking

Mine looked like----->Doppelganger GKEYHQ.com

It took a few days to show up. I actually just saw it on the list after checking your post.

That last post sound right to everyone? I think I got it but just curious how you all got the last letter of the email address. For me it was a 3-way guess. haven't seen any updates on the rankings list or nothing.

Should have been X. I just solved it a minute ago. WOOOO! Took me forever to see the pattern! All I have to say is I could have never done it without this forum. I would have still been staring at that darn black page going WTF?!?!

Duh

Thanks Neon! Man, I got that whole thing worked out and then just now realized the pattern (after I finished it!). I worked every letter out one at a time *rolls eyes* jeez. No wonder everyone is probably confused with my last post.

X marks the spot

i is the 9th letter
81 is a power of 3
20Xii..

I'm really curious about this. feels like a riddle.
not sure where to go with it though...

Anyone got any ideas?

it feels like they want us to do something with the "20Xii"
20, X, and i are all in it, but the last statement, "81 is a power of 3" isnt...but since i is the 9th letter, ii could mean 9x9 which would give us 81...which (expressed as a power of 3) is 3^4.

So we have 20X3^4

don't know where i'm going with this...

Sounds like Proverbial wisdom to me

I would agree, but then it gives us 20Xii. why would that be included? It doesn't really make sense.

A "spot" used to be Australian slang for 100 dollars, And a score is equal to 20. (ex. 4 score and 7 years ago)
So maybe it says "Score:100*3" like maybe it takes 300 people to launch the main site? Who knows...

Well....

20Xii could be 2012, the mayan predicted end-of-an-era that alarmists are saying is the end of the world. With all of that other... really ridiculous... nonsense ending in 20*3^4, one extra ridiculous step is 20(3*4) or 2012 again. This is total nonsense just like 20Xii and 20*3^4 so I wouldn't worry about it. Just laughed that these are the first two things that came to mind.

20xii

Or 2012 OLYMPICS? Could tie in with the ''Honor of sport is global...'' motto - Slightly random though.

Just a guess but "i is the 9th letter". That was used in the first code. Just wonder if the other parts may come into play with other codes. like maybe one code will use powers of numbers, one might use 20 as a spot..etc? Just another thought to throw in.

Possibilities

It's possible that it could represent 2012, but it wouldn't really make sense since the game is supposed to end 2010.

Also I just noticed that the golden text on the front page that used to tell you to go to the Jewels page for the first clue is now in a windings style font. I changed it with Word and it still says the same thing, but i just thought it was interesting that they changed it to be more hidden like that.

One thing I think we can do now is to turn people onto the game. We know the main site will open once more people access it, so I would say to tell everyone and their mother to go ahead and try the puzzle. Don't just give them the email address as that would ruin the fun, but I think helping them is more than ok. It says on the page itself that the game rewards networking: "We prize intellectual skill and social skills. You will need to combine the two from the start to maximise your points and have any hope of winning your percentage of the discretionary prize funds. Decipher the codes fast to get ahead in the ranking and work on your networking skills – they'll be vital in the months to come." So if we can get more people to start going, the game should move along quicker.

The page also says that it is divided up into three-monthly quarters. So, since the game lauched on May 1st, the next quarter will start August 1st. Hopefully we'll get some new information then. I really wish this wasn't poised to last until 2010, I know there is going to be SOOOOOOOO much waiting.

So for now, invite EVERYONE YOU CAN, and then just sit tight and hope for something cool to happen! (or some money! Very Happy )

It was actually like that when i first solved the puzzle. Shortly after, they changed it to a normal font...I guess they decided to change it back.

Browser

So I just realized that it must be something to do with the browser. When I view the page through internet explorer it gives me the cryptic font, but when I view it with Firefox it gives me plain text. I think it's a message for everyone to finally realize that Firefox is way better than IE. Not only is it more secure, it ALSO helps solve ARG's automatically! lol BEAUTIFUL!

Player numbers

New message on the International Ranking page - looks like they want 1,000 players before they launch the main site
