One thing that I find interesting is that if this was intended to be a real show (as in, they wanted to show it on television), they would have had to secure the rights in advance to film there... I've never heard of a single production company that would invest that kind of money to make a show without at least ensuring they would be covered legally when they finished.
This would hint that MANY more people at least knew of the possibility of TT filming there. At least somebody working for the town/county/state (Depending on who is in charge of the land...)

target I showed the layout to an architect friend of mine and asked him about the target symbol in the lower right hand corner's information box. He said it wasn't any kind of standard architectural symbol and looked more like a logo of some kind.
Could it mean something more?

symbol in the bottom right The symbol in the bottom right is an engineering symbol used to indicate how a 3d model is shown in a 2d schematic.
In a CAD drawing you sometimes have top-down and side views of a 3d object. But there are two convensions about which side of the top-down view you put the side views on. That's what the symbol indicates (in this case, it indicates the view from the left is on the left; that's the most commonly used convention)
So it's not appropriate for this diagram because we only have a top-down view, and no side views.
I'd guess it's just there to give a more authentic look to the diagram (make it look more engineeringy). But perhaps it is a subtle hint at something.

Well, considering these maps show that a portion of the area was being used, I sent an email to Charles asking more about the recent history ofCMH.
Quote:
Charles,
Thanks again for all the exellent information!
I'm also interested in some recent history. A friend of mine recently visited the CMH and saw some construction going on. What is happening to the CMH now?
Also was there any construction going on in 2003?
Were any companies or groups using the CMH in late 2002 or early 2003?
What is in store for the future of CMH?
Thanks for your time!
Jason
