[City Labyrinths] When?

Okay, so according to Eli Hunt, we're supposed to create our omphalabyrinth knots by the solstice, which is June 21. But - are we supposed to all try to coordinate for the same range of days? I suppose we need to try and get as close to the 21st as possible, but how soon is too soon?

I'm asking because 1) I want to try to get as many Texas people to come in for the Dallas knot, and they'll need travel time and group coordination, 2) I'm going to be out of town (in Pittsburgh...it's a busy month) just before the 21st so will need to perform that one a few days in advance, and 3) will be in London ON the 21st, but will likely be very jetlagged.

Thoughts?

I think you just have to schedule it for when you can do it, coordinating local people. I don't think synchronization with other cities in our world is part of the goal in this mission. We just need to create paths that can be accurately repeated in the other worlds.

I've just emailed Eli directly asking whether they need to be completed by the 21st of June, quoting the part of our chat which has lead to that understanding...

Here's hoping for a quick reply - and I'll let y'all know as soon as it arrives.

from the horse's mouth

Eli is online at the moment. he says "I am checking omph strength calculations and labyrinth designs."

Quote:
jasper 1:39 I drew on for Austin- we don't need it perhaps, but it was a lot easier after drawing on Dallas maps
I don't want to slow you down- as captains around the globe are waiting for your approval- but do the city labyrinths have a deadline?

Eli Hunt 1:40 Ah, that is a good question
As I mentioned earlier, I believe the solstice is a high point of launching labyrinth exercises
so we have a window of several weeks thereafter I would believe

jasper 1:41 launching- not completing?

Eli Hunt 1:41 Obviously we must finish by the Olympics!

jasper 1:42 thanks

Eli Hunt 1:42 Correct, they typically occur before and after. The solstice is the peak.

Also I mentioned to him that we had recovered the last chapter. He said then he was in a bigger hurry.

Just to go alongside jasper's conversation - here's Eli's reply to me - a day after I contacted him! Very Happy

Eli Hunt wrote:
The solstice is the peak of activity, I believe, simply as a matter of
custom. For us, it is imperative simply to achieve maximum omph
strength before the Olympics.

Sincerely yours,

Eli Hunt

Good news for all. Smile

Oh man.
My grandparents' 50th wedding anniversary is on the 21st....
I already was unable to go to a major theatre performance because of that....why does everything happen on the 21st?
WHY T_T

Hopefully the NY labyrinthians will be willing to wait for me...
