[BLOG][ARIADNE]Current City-scale Labyrinths With a Note from Eli... Ariadne give congratulations to Team Manila and Team Ess Eff.
Eli is concerned that our net may not be wide enough. Maybe he was just being gruff to cover up that he was crying with joy.
I hope so, because I know no people in Alaska, Siberia, Africa, or Antarctica.

We must pay special attention to building the northermost and southernmost knots possible, to make sure we have made a true omphalos out of the Earth itself.
The northernmost would be Reykjavik, wouldn't it?
And the southernmost - Melbourne?

Of course! Let's hear it for Mr. Judkins!
I've found the address of an Icelandic photographer on Flickr and contacted her now. Maybe she has an idea who might help to tie the Icelandic omphalos knot!

I think that the southernmost place on Earth is Tierra del Fuego in Argentina, but I don't know anyone from there.

I think this is not about the most northernmost and southernmost points in general (which would be the South Pole and some place in northern Russia, I guess, but about the most northernmost and southernmost knot possible, i.e. the cities on James's list.

Better add a link to the corresponding wiki page, so all teams can update their resp. information, if necessary:

I've updated NZ as well . We're planning to do the Wellington Omphalabyrinth next weekend - on the Solstice. We figure we'll tie this knot, then work on finding another nearby location / city for another to support it strengh-wise, as Wgtn City itself will only support a minimum size design.
I also see Eli states it's vital we complete 85% - or 23 of the cities - spread pretty evenly across the globe. Clearly the top and bottom are of particular importance - I wonder which four cities will be the hardest & potentially left out?
We've also got a new potential contact in Seoul who is interested in the omph knot mission - and will keep y'all posted if he's all go...

I'm thinking probably not next week, but the week after. I have a friend willing to do the drive-around with me. I'm going to rent a camcorder and plan on doing a personal labyrinth, the Toronto city labyrinth, and my TheO task #1 all within a short amount of time! Like I've said before, apparently this game is where all my free time is going...but I'm not complaining .

I have updated (sort of) the wiki for Madrid too. We are having problems here with transportists on strike so I can't get the trackstick until they let fedex send it to me. As soon as I get it I'll update with the final date to do it.
