My theory is that once you find the lost rings, and I mean the physical lost rings, the ones which are in Theo's possesion, they'll be a puzzle. And this codex gives us some clues as how to connect them and make something else... maybe there's a message or some instructions or whatever when you connect them all.

The last set of instructions from chapter 27 - that seem to mention some sort of "weaving" - along with Tenchizard's theory about a puzzle reminded me of this - in which case, we might indeed have to do some puzzling should eventual "physical" lost rings be found.

Hmm. Interesting, you are quoting the Spanish Wikipedia, and it gives the colour theories, but the English Wikipedia article simply states,

Quote:
Though colourful explanations about the symbolism of the coloured rings exist, the only connection between the rings and the continents is that the number five refers to the number of continents.

James mentioned that he didn't know for sure but he thought that they had the rings--they moved stuff around the world A LOT.

All that we know is that, according to Eli Hunt, TheO has the lost ring. He said in an e-mail:

Quote:
There is one mission for team agonothetai that has nothing to do with labyrinths. A mission to recover the lost ring. The real lost ring. The ring so many people have written to ask me about over the years. The ring that Theo moves across the globe like a restless king on a chess board. Not exactly hidden, but moved constantly to keep it safe, and always protected by pawns who know nothing of its true value.

I have prepared a new podcast about this true lost ring, which I will share with you soon. I must share it with Ariadne first, to bring her on board with this mission.

Now, does this mean that TheO has the five rings made in Antwerp? Not necessarily...unless the lost ring somehow results from combining the 5 "real" rings in some way (this is just assuming the lost ring is not a true, physical ring, though it might be...there is so much we still don't know Sad ).

Dreamerblue's point brings another question : if the Lost Ring is made out of the 5 others, then when/where/who will bring them together ? Basically, who do we send them to should we find them, and where should that person go after that ? Assuming of course, we won't end up trusting the Amnesiacs with them so that they can go on the last part of their journey.

When the words are coordinated. . . . I'm expecting that to be the words of the inscription on the sculpture. I think there will be a puzzle arranging the inscription into the right order when pieces of the sculpture come together.

I hope they find a way to make an online version of that puzzle, if so. Like maybe those with the rings could say, "Ok, here's what's written on each ring" & show it with the same spacing as on the rings, so all of us can try to figure out how to align them.

Ariadne / Alex silent?

Okay, the finding of the 27th Codex is very exciting!

But why hasn't Ariadne / Alex written anything about it in her blog? I would expect her to be her normal effluent self and write superlatively about the find.

But, silence?

I'm sure she will. The PMs need a break once in a while, too Wink. Even amnesiacs have to go get a bit to eat every so often.

See? I knew she'd get around to it Smile.

Wow. I just watched the video of the recovery now. Seeing all those books on all those shelves without any further clue as to which shelf the book would be on brought back memories of when thebruce and I went to get the Toronto artifact. At least we had a card catalog available to us, and our book, while not in the catalog, was located in the same area as similar books were listed. I gotta say, when I finally got to the part of the video where he sees the Codex page in the book, I got this big grin, same as I did when we opened our book and saw the folded Codex page sitting there Very Happy. That is a fun feeling Smile.
