Tidowave the cause, Tagruato the enemy
A discussion about whom caused the "Cloverfield" case.

in 1989, a brilliant young engineer named Ganu Yoshida was in search of an avenue to support his off-shore drilling revelations--From the Tagruato website company history page.

Lets think in these terms: Tidowave feels Tagruato is upsetting the enviroment. When they attempt to bring down the Chaui station, they learn Tagruato isn't all about drilling for oil. See the above reference, it seems something was found by Ganu that bailed Tagruato out from falling on its face. Tagruato then in-turn learned more of what could of been made of the "seabed nectar" and launched other lines of production. When Tagruato entered the space frontier, its main goal was containment of the possible escape of their revelations. Ganu Left NY early before the attack happened.

Tidowave executed an attack. They, in-turn, posted a "we didn't want this to happen" post. They didn't realize the implications, as they did not know what Tagruato was really holding. Only the whistleblower did. Tidowave thus went silent, fearing reprecussions as Tagruato did as well.

The typically 2 evils situation, whom is more guilty? The DOD, per the Blue-Ray disc, seems to be persuing Tagruato.

The DoD should look into calling down an airstrike on your place of residence.
