He doesn't seem to think it's corrupt that he's hiring a bunch of the Joker's goons to do his dirty work? Razz

Long live the GPD.

I don't think we were exactly hired. He caught us, and made us a deal ... help get up the big fish or enjoy a 9x3 cell for a long time.

Well, that's assuming that whatever he's having us do involves taking down Mr. J Wink

[META]After all, most speculated that the whole interception of the Joker phones was a way to move the game away from the big clown and more towards Dent and the GPD.[/meta]

So, at the end of the day, he's still having a criminal organization get their hands dirty for him Razz

Or maybe I'm just being sadistic. I suppose we'll see when he contacts us again.

I'm not following this much, but since I see no mention of it I'd like to point out the latest email:

OK friend, you're up to bat now. You have yourself a new assignment: Operation Slipknot.

new e-mail from Jimmy

MONEY LAUNDERING INVESTIGATION

To all MCU personnel,

With the probe into money laundering operations of the Gotham mobs well underway, I wanted to thank you for all your hard work and ask you all to keep your eyes open.

We all know that the mob can be quite ingenious when it comes to money laundering schemes. MCU must be just as ingenious in trying to root these schemes out.

Please, in your everyday life – as well as your work on the job – keep a lookout for anything out of the ordinary that may signal a money laundering scheme. Overheard conversations, suspicions of stores you frequent, etc. Everything is fodder for this critical investigation.

If you have any leads, tips, or information that can help the Major Crimes Unit crack this murky network of banks, businesses, and the people who run them, do not hesitate to contact me.

Thanks.

Jim

any idea as to what he's talking about? any idea of what to do next?

yeah the one that people posted on the first page was from april. idk why this isn't swarming, maybe because either nobody's checked their e-mail, OR they have checked it but just haven't paid much interest to it yet. also, i checked on the wiki page and somebody else must've gotten it because it's been posted on there as an update. so idk what's going on.

I posted this in the text message thread as well, but could the security camera in the new clip have anything to do with money laundering?

Could that be what we are supposed to contact Gordon about?

Everyone isn't talking about this new email because everyone didn't get it.

I've been participating in every "game" and I didn't receive this email.

I think it only went out to a select number of people.

Just my thoughts on the situation.

No worries, I went to the game wiki and popped both Gordon and the MCU an e-mail.

hmm... well, let's look at it this way. i have not participated in one single game, i don't think. i mean like, i haven't participated in a game where they knew who i was. so maybe they sent it out to people who have not had a chance to participate yet? i don't know. i signed up for the operation slipknot thing, but it was like in may or early june, way after Operation Slipknot took place. so maybe that's how they had my e-mail or whatever.
